PostSubject: Glue foibles   Glue foibles I_icon_minitimeMon Aug 11 2014, 01:16

Hi there folks!
I recently came into some previously owned Dark Eldar models, and I don't like the weapons that they were equipped with (Who gives scourges dark lances?).
How can I remove the arms without risking damage to the model with my exacto knife? If anybody has any suggestions please let me know!

I know I've typed an answer to this type of question before, here are some relevant topics.

Good question, I prefer blasters or Splinter cannons myself

What glue was used may I ask? If it was super glue an exacto knife through it should work. If it was plastic glue.... I don't even know where to start.

If it's plastic glue, you need to cut with great care at the base of the join by rotating/rolling the blade. The arms of DE model are enought thin to do that. You will need to use the tip of the blade so careful not to break it.

I think it was plastic glue. It's on there like something awful. Thanks for the topics Thor!

If it is fused together you will need to cut it. However if it is just glued on pop those things into the freezer over night and this should weaken the bond enough for you to break it apart. Make sure you clean it well afterwards.
