800pts tournement list

ok so i got a friendly tournement up in august and it has some intresting restrictions
no fortifications of any type
no flyers of any type
and no vehicle with armour above 34 (which is good for dark eldar lol)
there is extra points for painted army (this is done by vote at start)
YOU LOOSE POINTS FOR CHEESEY LIST ARMYS!!! (this is done by vote at start)

there is alot of custom missions for this tournement which means you can win even if you are tabled.......eg i got my objective 3/4 across the board my oppenant only got his 1/4 across the board

but anyways here is the list i have got so far (i have trialed this and well lets say i won on turn 2 againest a eldar player)

HQ - Archon, husk blade,drugs,soul trap,shadow field 145pts
TROOP - 5 Warriors,blaster,venom,cannon,night shields 135pts
5 Warriors,blaster,venom,cannon,night shields 135pts
9 Wyches, hekatrix,hydra gauntlets,raider,night shields 170pts
Heavy - Fluffy the cronos parasite engine,spirit vortex 100pts
Ravager - Nightshields 115pts
800pts exactly i make it

so what people think???

First of all, High armor actually benefits DE to play against as our AT is in Lances genereally. That is aside the point!

I like that you have 3 troop options, makes for good objective games.
It is just 800p, which for me means that a 3DL ravager should be enough AT, and blaster can be dropped from warriors.
Wyches are with Archon and will most likely rush across to get into CC, this makes Nightshields more or less futile for that boat.
Cronos is a force multiplier and tend to work better in bigger games, could be better used somewhere else? Talos would make more sense to me or a dissie ravager or splinterborns for more AI.

Overall i like the list. Minor tweaks and for me a question mark regarding Cronos!

ok i have taken what you said into account and will drop the blasters from warrior squads (now i think about it i rarely used it in the games lol)

as much as i love fluffy (cronos parasite engine) i will drop him for a dissie ravager (i know there will be a at least 2 grey knight armies and a deathwing army)

dropped the night shields from wyches/archon raider.....will post a up to date list later on once i write it all down and do the math

Are you going to use 4´x 4´ tables or regular size? It affects the efiency of Cronos/Talos greatly.

Then Ravager over Talos/Chronos. You have more room to maneuver your skimmer while enemy can dance away from your MC

ok well i shall try out dissie ravager this sunday see how it fairs instead of talos/cronos

Ok my new list
Archon, husk blade, combat drugs, soul trap, shadow field 145pts
5 warriors, venom, cannon, night shields x2 120pts each
9 wyches, raider 150pts
Ravager, 3 lances, night shields 115pts
Ravager, 3 dissies, night shields 115pts

This leaves 35pts so I open to suggestions what they can be spent on

I would recommend you to buy PGL and a hekatrix. allowing wyches/archon to charge into cover. thats 20p (pgl on the heka and not the archon). I'd kit wyches with HWG as well but that would bring you over the top by 3 measly points. That leaves a toss up between:

1 wych
HWG for wyches
Combat drugs

I'd ditch 1 wych i think. Also it is worth contemplating rekitting your archon. Venom blade instead of husk + soultrap, 5p instead of 45p, and its hard to feed the soultrap huskblade combo in 1000p, not toomany IC/MCs at that point range. Possibly.

However... I do love the Huskblade/soultrap myself...

Why do I need a pgl they are armed with plasma grens which are assaukt grens so always hit at own initiative......

I might get a hekatrix and stick a aginiser on here then the last 5 points put grisly trophies on the raider
