i went back and relooked over some rules and the codex and made two lists, the first is 1000pts and the additions are what will make it into a 1500pts

HQ-
Lhamaean and 4 sslyth with a venom transport 100

Troop-
Kabalite warriors with 10 models total, a splinter cannon upgrade and a raider with the splinter racks upgrade 160

Wyches 10 models total, a hekatrix, 3 hydra gauntlets ,a raider 195

Fast attack-

reavers 6 models total two heat lances and 2 cluster caltrops 146

razorwing jetfighter with a dark lance upgrade 140

razorwing jetfighter with a splinter cannon upgrade 140

Scourges w/ haywire blasters 120

this above is 1001 pts

any thoughts on the list? good bad, and how competitive is it. in your opinions?

I wouldn't take the splinter cannon on the kabalite warrior squad - it might increase the total potential damage but if the raider moves it reduces the total shots at range, and it definitely makes the unit less efficient in terms of points cost per kill.

I'd always take dark lances on raiders/razorwings unless you're tailoring your army to a specific footslogging opponent.

Probably drop the heat lances on the jetbikes, you're not likely to use them as you'll be snap firing.

Shock prow on the ravagers is a waste of points, they should never be close enough to use it, and they're fragile enough that if they do they're more likely to damage themselves than their target.

I'd also scrap the hekatrix and sybarite upgrades, they generally don't cover the cost of the upgrade in increased usefulness.

are these suggestions based on BOTH lists where they apply? or just to the 1500pt one?
and the +1 LD +1atk doesnt help?(sybarite hekatrix)

i know that shock prow isnt good for a ravager but it will not be hurt if it rams because you use armour 14 to damage and to to take damage on rams that you make. but it only good on raiders not on ravagers that need be out charges and other risks.
i like the shock prow because it a 7 str hit that no need to roll to hit only do damage
and im not to good rolling dices

i like the list but i dont have used the wyches in the new codex i dont know if they are worthy. i like the scorges but i use heat lances more fun =). ravagers are good but i roll really bad i them. and the court is nice but i really like the medusae court they kill marines for breakfast even with out wwp but with wwp they are monsters

i use the wyches because i believe that you should play what you love... even if only a small part of it
scourges are sexy with haywire blasters(as they are the only unit to take them) to be specialist-anti-armor
what would you put in the medusae court? and i thought WWP could only be taken by an archon

WWP's can be taken by archon, haemonculus and succubus, but I note you've not got any of those in your list. Realistically 4 medusa should be able to wipe out a full tactical squad comfortably.

how would the Medusae be able to WWP if they dont have a archon or anything to do it with?

unless fred is saying that he takes an archon with his court... that would make more sense

He'd have to take a character with a WWP portal yes, there's no other way to guarantee their landing spot otherwise.

yes to do the medusae with wwp you need a character.
but i have made a big number of games using the normal dds for the medusae and works nice because if you scatter away your target you can disimbark them to tri the flamers or you can stay inside and the will call lots of atention for a unit that is at maximum 200 points
and if they survive they will kill anything with save 3+

HOLD UP xDD, you only snap-fire when the reavers jink... so if they dont get shot at for a turn then they will be able to shoot then do their cluster caltrops right? or am i off the mark Razz

they always can use the cluster caltrops because you can assualt after jinking, and you can use the shoot after jinking but you will snapfire.
