Coven of angelic perversion 1850

This list is meant to be competitive at 1850 pts. It is quite slow moving but I personally believe this list can work on a competitive level.

Webway portals on the any of the Dark Artisan Haemies at all? 1 thing I have learnt with playing coven recently is that it is really hard to get back field objective holders/campers and scoring Linebreaker. Obviously you have the 4 skimmers but they can all brought down in 1 turn of shooting. Interested in your thoughts. Lastly, where does the RSR Haemie go????

Are you sure you can field two Dark Artisans? Usually, tournament and player bases limit that to one copy of each formation, no duplicates. As 1++ suggested, why no WWP? You need those artisans forward and generating threat. Talos star is awesome, you might consider giving them Heat Lances, especially if you play against Crons or Space Marines, as AP1 and Melta burns them to death.

I am going to tweak this list and you are right about the rsr Haemonculus he has no where to go. I thought tournaments only limited you to 1 detachment. I did not know that they limited you to formations.

this list is like 1772, so I need to throw in some extra upgrades to get it to 1850 pts.

I think getting the eldar autarxh for some reserve manipulation was definitely a good idea with two wwp.

A formation is a type of detachment.

So I could not take 2 dark artisan formations.

If you are meaning to run this in tournament you will need to check with the organizers and their rules. From my understanding, many have a limit on the number of formation/detachements you can have in your list. I count 4 in total [2 dark artisan, 1 corpse thief, and 1 CAD(?)] and I think many tournaments limit it to a maximum of 3.

You might also want to speak to those you are planning on playing against and see if they will have a problem with you running that many and/or duplicate formations/detachments.

Thought a few days about revamping this list. I have totally thrown some ideas away, mainly the corpsethief. I added 2 units of 5 grotesques from the coven supplement, they are fearless turn 1. Then added a groestqurie I think this will be a great combination.

You have barely any anti-tank after scratching the Corpsethief. Maybe add a Ravager or two for some high-S long range shots?

With the coven being the main detachment I chose any other units.

Then pop in some anti-tank from allied Eldar or think on what to cut out to make room for two Talos with Haywire, maybe.

A crimson hunter and the scatter lasers don't help me with anti tank. I don't want to sound like I am not taking your advice, but this is the first list I've done with eldar allies.

I mean you could take another unit from Eldar that can offer anti-tank options. Just make an allied detachment with one bike squad, one autarch on a bike and some heavy support choice.

What would be the heavy support option you recommend.

I have not seen Craftworld Eldar codex yet, but a Fire Prism or a Wraithlord should be nice.

Ok, take out the crimson hunter for a fire prism?

I guess.

I won't have much in the way of anti air, but possibly a fire prism or a squad of war walker would do my list some good.
