Its just the base of the new Super Ultra Uber Marine. The purple thingy is Vects armour as the Marine is stomping him into the dirt while flipping off his kabal.

You're absolutely right about it looking like Dark Eldar grating, but it also looks like it's set into cloth or fabric of some kind, like the bottom of a cloak or robe pooling on the ground. So I'm confused.

Another thought: I would expect Vect to be painted in the Black Heart's dark green colors. That of course doesn't rule out Dark Eldar, or even Vect if it's an accent color.

I'm disinclined to be optimistic, but I'm definitely curious.

That is a Dark Eldar model. I'm sure of it. I have a feeling the soul stones ties into what Eldrad did as well as advancing the DE plot forward a little. Weren't there rumors months ago about "Destroyed" wraith unit type of things for an alleged war in the webway story arc? It would be funny to see some of that rumor be partially true. There was also the rumors from frontline about alleged DE formation benefits, but other than this the DE has been real quiet.

Of course I remember now. There is allegedly supposed to be a Sisters vs Unidentified Xenos box. Those sly dogs have been teasing the unidentified Xenos for months now. I have a very good feeling it will be Sisters vs Dark Eldar which thematically makes a lot of sense. This is assuming a lot, but it's lining up very well with the image which has come out after the rumor came out on bols a few weeks back.

Based on the colour I'd guess Fulgrim.

Though the design does give me a little hope.

It can't be Fulgrim. Look at the other leaked picture of the model with the staff and the person clearly has kind of elf ish hands. Either Dark Eldar or Dark Aelfs or something equally thin and DE ish.

These images are being teased by GW themselves so these are all reliable images. They have done other teases but for other upcoming things. These are the two most relevant images to this thread.

That looks more Harlequin than Dark Eldar...

Yeah, I'm not getting the DE vibe at all from these. Leaning much more towards AoS Elves.

Well, I think we can all agree that there appear to be "spirit stones" in these pics. The remaining ones look more proto-imperial. The hand with the keys (to the black library?) look more mechanical than CWE/DE, but not quite AdMech.

My guess is AoS, maybe loosely tied into 40k

A grain of salt: The soulstones are not broken, like on the Archon.
And also blue, the purple could be Black Heart as it is sometimes used for sashes and the like, but blue?

Here is to wishful thinking. I really hope it is Dark Eldar, VECT and Dias. The Design does look exactly like the Dark Eldar Raider but I also have a problem with how close the object is to the ground. Which leans more to it being a clock rather then a vehicle. But the cloak idea doesn't explain the design inside which looks exactly like a deck plate.

Only Time will tell...

Do the different pictures even belong together?
The later ones look more like Skaven, long fingernails/claws and the big rats do love them some green.

If it is Dark Eldar, it has to be Malys. Alliance with the Harlequins (hence soulstones) comes through during the War in the Webway, bringing with it a new Wych Cult formation that might make Wyches a bit better

I'll agree that the latter picture doesn't look Dark Eldar. The hand doesn't look delicate enough, it's got claws and the staff doesn't seem to fit the aesthetic. Doesn't really look Skaven either. Looks more Sylvaneth/Wood Aelf than anything else...

mayby they will being out a box set (sad face) about the war in Commaragh (from the novel) and would bring out a Lady Malys model.

The pictures very well don't have to be related. The first one actually looks like a DWARF device.

I should have mentioned they don't have to be related at all, but they bear some resemblances so I figured I should post them just in case.

@Xivai, thanks for posting this, I for one would not have noticed otherwise.

Back to the first pic. You can kinda see the outline on the right side of the pic of the models base. The size of the texture on the base leads me to believe this is a model on the regular 20mm base.

I am thinking it fits pretty well on a flyer base myself...
