| The Scarlet Sworn, the Scarlet Blade, The Crimson Fang seriously GW! Literally Colour + some kind of word besides what they ARE would've been better! The Tangerine Marines (CHAAARGE!!!) would be the equivalent and NOBODY wants that. | |

It would be like if they did some power-armoured guys in a ultramarine shade of blue and called them... waaaait!

| Or a bunch of heraldric space knights in unpainted armor and called the Grey Knights.
EDIT: Also Angels Encarmine, Angels Vermillion, Black Crusaders, Black Guard, Black Ravens, Black Templars, Brazen Claws, Crimson Axes, Crimson Guard, Crimson Paladins, Crimson Swords, Crimson Templars, Dark Hands, Dark Crusaders, Dark Templars, Ebon Knights, Golden Angels, Iron Knights, Knights Sanguine, Rainbow Warriors, Red Knights, Red Legion, Red Hunters, Red Templars, Red Wolves, Sable Swords, Silver Guard, Tigers Argent, White Templars.
And that's just the loyalist marine chapters.

| I will concede the point (as I agree) but I was just saying they could have gone a little farther to not name them what is literally on the sheet (For instance Tactical Marine is a unit and so are Incubi I liken it to having a chapter of the Tangarine Tactical Marines or more simply put naming an entire chapter based on a unit)
While Space Marines clearly are based on Knights I was simply saying Shrine of the Crimson Blades or Shrine of the Crimson Executioners is better then Shrine of the Crimson Incubi (All are bad honestly and as I said earlier I agree with you, just whining that it wouldn't have taken 3 seconds to make it not whats on their data-slate)

I struggle to take anything with scarlet in the name seriously as I only picture a gang of Scarlet O'hara fans dressed in frilly shirts running around fawning and swooning. My brain can be so cruel sometimes...

| 'Incubi' is already pretty specific. I don't think the name is the best one out there, but if there's an award for worst group name in 40k, they aren't even going to be nominated. Hell, they won't even be invited to the ceremony. | |

| Hah agreed. This is the company of Blood Reavers screaming Blood for the Blood God while their Bloodsecrators scream the same thing, and where Wolf Lords of the Space Wolves ride giant Wolves into battle during the Wolf-time. I suppose we should be grateful they're not called 'Big choppy 2-hander dudes of the scarlet big-choppy 2-hander shrine' | |

| Heh wrote a little fluff piece for an Ork player (that gave me a load of Wood Elf bits for my exodites) about a colony of exodites who ended up stranded on a Feral Ork world. When the craftworlders made first contact they were slightly bemused by the green facepaint. It was only when they proudly displayed their ' Direchoppas' and ' Dakkalasers' that the craftworlders realised what had happened | |

| So while I know these models have the ability to be fielded in existing Eldar type armies I certainly hope they bring something to the table to our factions that don't want to swap existing rules. Like the triumvirate of the Gathering Storm 1 I am hoping they bring something to the table to enhance our existing force lists. Power from death is well and good but I want something to roll with our power from pain like what Cawl does with Canticles to enhance existing abilities of factions instead of throwing rules out and just starting a new faction rules. | |

| I read that the avatar likes to flit across the battlefield to where ever death is the thickest. In the white dwarf, it sounded like they were referring to the table top version of the Avatar too. Makes me wonder if you can sling shot the avatar around the board because that sounds like some fun shenanigans can and will happen.
Though I also wonder if I'm just reading into this too much and assuming.

They do make the avatar sound really hard to kill. My question is... Is the avatar going to be good on the charge? Because I would love to just throw this guy across the board and into melee at least once to see the reaction from it. Or they might throw in some rule like, can't assault after making this movement.

| How do folks feel about something like the Bloodtithe rule that Khorne Daemonkin have? Does their tithe stack with any deaths or just enemy deaths? | |

| Well it's a reverse power from pain from 6th edition previous, while I haven't played with that table it seems interesting and fun to play with and I look forward to doing so. Plus it gives incentives to MSU (espesially 3 man reaver spam if you think about it as if one dies... well the other 2 become MORE POWERFUL!!! which let's be fair is very likely) | |

| It's there, with some mix and match formations, books and things...can't sya i like them. I'm a bit of a true kin stick-to, maybe obtuse by me, by not fascinated by the possibility of playing incubi together with....dire avengers?
Anyway, i'll buy it for the lulz, and paint everything. Therapeutic goodness

Up on the GW site. Looks like Wyches, Kabalites, Reavers, Ravagers and Archons are all allowed in the one of the new detachments. I'm curious to see if it will be possible to build the new detachments using only DE or DE & Harlequin models without any CWE.

| ... Did the eldar race just get a first turn drop pod alpha strike type rule? Am I reading "attack of the swordwind"right? And a rule that is only really effective when fighting non-believer Aelidari ... So we might be able to take that as a sign (with salt) that the true kin will still get an update later on | |
