lol I just read you still have grotesques models to paint, you're easily the guy with the most GW grots in the world XD.

It's awesome finishing up an army, but it's rarely the end, I'm sure you'll buy more once they release another codex with more models. GW released new models with each now codex, our future codex should look promising if you see what GW has done these past few years. Now whether we do get another codex, that's another matter XD, I just hope we don't have to wait 12 years XD.

And BTW if I remember correctly you didn't have neither a reaper or a tantalus, I'd seriously buy em, simply can't see this army without those models, even the FW raven wouldn't be completely wrong either. You could tap into the other eldar Fw stuff, maybe some eldar flyers, some titans to make this an apoc force, still see plenty of growth potential.

I do get you want to work on some other stuff or maybe you just want to end it somewhere.

As a matter of fact, I did pick up a little something on eBay (I knew that you of all people would appreciate this) ........

By "done" with this army I truly meant "done with all of the models that I currently own. I would absolutely see picking up a Tantalus or Reaper, I have plans to work on my CWE after my current DE models are finished up. I currently have a Scorpion, Cobra, and Lynx waiting for paint   

sweet man, I was afraid you would stop feeding us the images, you know how we need our monthly doses.

I really want to get me at least one more of the Ravens to paint it in my current sheme, paintjob would be the same as I did on the razorwing, full dark purple. Now way to was going to repaint my older ravens, I got too uch work to repaint painted models.

I should start working on some current range skimmers this week, in the summer or possibly near the last quarter of the year I'll pick myself a couple of tantalus and reapers+ some corsairs and other fun stuff. By the end of the year I should have quite a bunch of current range vehicles painted .

i'll be looking forward to see what you do with your tantalus and reaper, they should look awesome in your color sheme.

More Ravens? WOW!    

I'll give you a hint for a good reason to NEVER have too many Ravens: count as Voidravens (no missiles) those S9 lance weapons are kinda anoying . Besides I got too many paintjob ideas in my head to deny myself this pleasure and I like the model anyway. I've been also thinking about making variations of it.

I'd like to finish these up this month. Next month should see the last of either my Inucbi or Dakkaborn getting completed.

Terrible lighting, but you get the idea. I actually completed my Monthly Vow for the second month in a row, looking forward to getting a few more DE models done next month.

I might have missed this before, but this is such a long project log that I probably wouldn't manage to find it, but how did you get the helms to be reflective? Did you use a glaze?

Thanks Cavash! I'm pondering painting the Raven next month. It's so throwback-cool that it would be a real treat   Also have three Dakkaborn to finish of all of the Trueborn variants that I own

The reflective effect is painted on. These will get a varnish of Glosscote today, and I usually brush on a layer of gloss as well on the faceplates and gems.

I love the blasterborn, they look good! Have you ever ran a list with three squads of 4 blasterborn in venoms with two splinter cannons?

I haven't, not really my style. I can run two units of 3 as I have modeled, but this most likely won't happen much.

They were superfun to paint. I just have the three Dakkaborn to base and paint up this month for the Monthly Vow. Looks like I'll be putting that Raven together this month, maybe even some paint on it! Don't have any rules for it, but I could run it as a Razorwing JF?   

I got a lot of blaster models , I never was too much of a fan of the unit, but in apoc, I'd say this unit suddenly becomes more than attractive. Deep Strike (in raider using Slicus), shoot! Since you got An apoc sized force if you ever use it to play an apoc game, that's something you might consider.

I really appreciate you sending those. I'll post pics of a game that I will be getting in with them in a week or two.

Getting back to the pointy ears:

I'm going to paint up a Raven and the harlequins in tribute to Khaine mor/spellcheck2001 for our nominations for TDC Awards. My last day of work for the school year is on Thursday.....lots of painting to come!

The raven is pained quit fast, even by my standards. It should look pretty sweet in your colors, and I'm also wondering what you'll do with the base. I'd advise you to use it as a Voidraven , it's what I do currently with mine.

Congrats on the award, you're not only a good painter, but also a very productive painter. I've been stuck on my skimmers for weeks, still a lot to do and meanwhile you've painted several squads lol.

Just an update/proof of life post.
I picked up a beastmaster blister and a couple of the metal current Khymera on clearance at a gaming store while on vacation in August. I'm holding off on painting anything until the new rumored codex drops. Haven't abandoned this army, I'm just trying to catch up on all of these damned codex releases! I was relieved when they finally released a codex for an army that I don't play (Grey Knights)

Say, what did you ever do with the models I got you last christmas? I've been wanting to see them done up

I was turned off by the price of the new Haemonculus, but figured what the hell. It's not like I'm starting a new army where I'd be adding three of these for $78USD. I'm only buying one. It is the 6th Haemonculi that I own outside of Urien. Come to think of it....why did I need another Haemi? Oh yeah, I have a problem

This is the first of the new plastic HQ's that I've bought for any of my armies. The fit and detail is actually really impressive. I had to fight the urge to assemble it all the way simply because I don't know what weapon options will be available/be solid option in gaming terms. Might go for it and magnetize the options for a magnetization tutorial that a friend asked me to write for another blog.
