| Possibly, but you would hope GW would finish up all the releases announced at LVO before moving on to new releases. Don't see why the 40k FAQ needs a release though, it's not like we're getting another chapter approved so it's not something that needs a release week.
Either way I'm cautiously optimistic that by mid April I will have a codex in hand.

Previously whenever groups of codex (codices?) have been officially announced together for release they have been within two weeks of each other. Much as I'd like to have my cake and it it I think GW are simply trying to ensure an even revenue stream throughout the year. Meh, finances I almost feel pity for Ork players, almost...

| Orks aren't really in a Terrible spot ... But it does suck for them to have to (maybe) wait until the start of June, granted that could be because they are planning a major Ork release for that month with two different box sets containing new Orks one against the imperium and one against probably Tau ... and then off we go into the second year of 8th edition with a more of a focus on the Xenos while still shoving new primaris marines down out throats as well as a huge slaanesh release around ... Oh ... October or November ... | |

| They will probably release a box "Armageddon war" with orcs, Marines and Chaos. | |

| Orkz were one of the best Index factions, and their Index is almost on-par with codex meta, so they definitly are fine with being last. It sucks, but priorities first.
And i'm an ork player ^^ | |

| 8th edition is such a boon for ork players anyway... Having S4 as a basic stat is so much better than the previous S3 + furious charge. | |

| Given the physical size of an Ork it's about time, hulking beasts compared to humans yet s3 for as long as i can remember. Fun guys... funghi | |

| I don't think we can assume 2 codices a month because we just had a month of no codices. The "coming in March" announcement just said Tau. While I realize it didn't say that was *everything* coming in March, that's not quite the same as saying "some of what's coming in March."
It seems more likely that the Tau book will be the only codex in March. If that's true, it might indicate a shift to a monthly release schedule.
We're seeing previews and announcements now for stuff with Necrons. That stuff will probably be released around the same time as the Necron codex, so that makes it seem more likely that the Necrons will be next. That could mean Necrons in April and us in May.
GW's release schedule has always been erratic and unpredictable. I think the best thing we can do is to just think about other things, or possibly other games, until we start getting previews for it.

| ^ I agree, with the number of months between now and Christmas, I'd say at max we're going to be getting 1 codex a month. I don't expect ours for another 2 months at least. I'm thinking late June.
Just because all we focus on is the 40k stuff, doesn't mean GW isn't working on or releasing other product. Morathi's Daughters of Khaine for AoS implied that the Aelven mario brothers Tyrion and Teclis each made their own special breed of Aelves as well. It'll probably be 2-3 weeks between each new release. Looking at that leaked "schedule" I'd say the big events will be (at the earliest):
-Tau Codex Pre-order this week -Something minor for Blood Bowl/AoS Late March -Necron Codex Mid April -AoS Aelves Early-Mid May -Dark Eldar Late June

| Im more of the interpretation that sure it'll only be one codex this month, but that's because the big March FAQ will be released. Then march could start of with Necrons or board game followed by Necrons followed by us. Might be some AOS/specialist there but I think there is week enough for it. But yeah, late March at its earliest I'd guess. | |

| In the same sense, I find it just a little unlikely that even GW would wait five months after announcing a codex to get around to nailing down a release date.
Although to be fair, post-LVO GW has rapidly drained any hope I had in the company

| Pinch of salt rumours from local geedub staff, they reckon the necrons Box will be out by the end of this month, so if drukhari are after we can expect early to mid April release. | |

| I hate to be "that guy", but the Space Wolves still need a codex. I would be willing to bet that they get a dex slipped in before ours, because GW thinks that Imperium players are toddlers who will completely lose interest in everything if they don't get regular lollies.

Don't for get Sisters, and Deathwatch, and Imperial Knights will need one before us because they got a new model, and Inquisition, oh, and Assassins probably need one too, don't forget about the Sisters of Silence and the new Primaris Custodes Marines release, and...who are the Dark Eldar again?

| Looks like necrons are next if the availability of these leaks mean anything:

I think you're confirming my worst fears. But you know, even if T'au are released mid february, Necrons late february, we should be getting a mid march release, so it's not so bad.
