It strikes me that a Poisoned Tongue Master Archon (with an Agonizer) is probably the best configuration for an Archon by a mile. Wounds on 3+, AP-3, Damage 2. But maybe they will FAQ the Huskblade into +1S.
For a non PT Master Archon, a Venom Blade seems like a good choice. Or you just get a Djin Blade upgrade.

Right so yeah 4 options is reduced options right. He has the option of a splinter pistol, Heamy tools and The Ichor Injector...I don’t know the other one.
Truth is I don’t have a clue it’s all in Spanish lol
But what I think looks like Heamy tools wound on 2+ I think
Surely his options are now limited to his model weapons.

Huskblade is not poison so... back to wounding everything on 5's.

The fourth weapon is the Scissorhand. It is just what's on the current model, yeah.

I think the huskblade is stuck as-is. They want all of the archon weapon choices to be equivalent, at the same pts cost each. The huskblade sacrifices Strength for damage. The powersword does the opposite. The venomblade wounds more easily, but has lower AP. The agonizer is a powersword that is locked at wounding on 4+. They're all roughly equivalent for the point cost.

The Haemonxytes look very interesting to me (upgraded Wracks), especially with prophets of flesh. You get toughness 4 (or 5 if haemonculus nearby), get wounded on 4+ at best (if strength below 8 ), 5+ invul becoming 4+ if you survive till round 4 (maybe round 3 using a stratagem). In addition to that, you get a 5+ feel no pain, and d3 models can be brought back to life by the master Haemonculus. Cherry on the cake, you ignore the first failed save !

I really hope that there is a list of relics that can be given out to haemonculi (so they can bring back stuff like the Dark Gate and such), separate from the standard relics list, like the ones for crypteks, and I presume other 9th ed codices have gotten something similar as well.

@krayd@Skulnbonz I was talking about an Archon with an Agonizer. You get +1 damage from the Archon upgrade and 3+ to wound from PT. My bad, I forgot to mention that.
Edit: I just noticed that a Medusae's Eye Burst is Pistol D6 and always hits. Nice!

Perhaps I've missed it, but has anyone figured out the "insensible to pain" ability for covens ? (I've seen it on the leaked Spanish datasheets). Is it still a 5+ invulnerable save ? Also, based on the same Spanish datasheets, it looks like the Haemonculus lost all weapon options, is it confirmed ?
It's a 5+++
So right now every Coven unit start with 6++(pfp)/5+++ (Insensible to pain). Becoming 5++/5+++ on turn 4.
yes they're way more fragile than before. Prophets of Flesh basically grants Transhuman Physiology against attacks with SR7 or less (which is kinda useless on Taloi, and pretty good on Wracks).
Anyway, guys...this Codex ROCKS. It's great, BUT not for everyone. Who plays Drukhari as a DeathGuard-ish army, spamming PoF Monsters/Grotesques, he will hate this Codex. For everyone who rely on MSU/Fast units, fast engage, Mercs, kabal and Wychcult: You're welcome <3
Yeah I saw the Codex.

Yes! Yes! Something! hahahaha!
They're actually pretty good. 3 Attacks, 2 Wounds, SR4 Ap-1 D2. Then you add on the Obsessions. Then you consider that Eviscerating Fly-By is now 5+ roll (+1 to INFANTRY) for MWs, and it works both moving and advancing.
Both Hellions and Reavers are pretty good (the latter are nice if you consider they bring HeatLances with no heavy penalties). Its fun that there's a stratagem that buff 1 Reaver unit and 1 Hellions unit because they're in competition

Why would reavers bring heat lances without heavy penalties?

Im sorry, I must have missed those reveals. I can see the Reaver and Hellion data sheets, but how do you know about Eviscerating Fly-by, Reavers not being affected by heavy Heat Lances, and the reaver/hellion buff?

Because they're <bikes>, and the -1 by moving is only for <Infantry> units. 9th rules.
So yeah, making those guns Heavy it's a way to say "hey, Talos and Reavers will use them at they BS". You can pick 10 reavers (avoiding Blast effects), bring in 3 Heat lances, moving upon an INFANTRY unit, pop up Eviscerating Fly By (that now triggers on 4+ and you don't need to advance), dish out 5 MW on an Infantry (maybe an Infantry CHARACTER), shoot with 3 HeatLances at BS3+, and then even charge.
Yeah this Codex has a lot of (not so much neither) hidden tricks.

You can also still do the grav talon/ blaster shuffle, giving the arena champion and 3 other models a blaster and grav talon each

So turns out that Drugs have slightly changed. Translating from Spanish:
1.)Adrenalight: +1 Attach if Charged, was charged or heroically intervened 2.) Grave Lotus: +1 Strength 3.) Hypex: +2 Movement 4.) Painbringer: +1 Toughness 5.) Serpentin: +1WS 6.) Splintermind: +1BS and +1LD

So, Helions and Reavers both got +1 atack. Helions got AP -1. Does it make them good?
