The Black and the Skin

I have recently learned how to edit the elements of the skin on here as you may have noticed with the symbols on the main forum, basically everything is a small picture which can be replaced.

First of all, this was always just a stand in, default skin, my idea was always to go black with neon colours and that is what I would like to see happen - please can I have feedback on this.

Next, the skin. If I was to upload parts of the skin, ie the images would any budding graphic designers wish to help me in turning this forum really in to Commorragh?

In fact, I've posted some "sparkly glowy" glyphs in past, I need to find them.

I would gladly see stuff on both sides (or at least chat on other side, since its width don't match other boxes width) and wider forum. I saw it yesterday, it looked good.
More precisely using "%" values instead of pixels, lik 90% (that would leave two 5% stripes on both sides)

I work as a designer, and I'd say less is more. You dont want the forum to loose readability for the sake of having too much going on. White text on black is hard on the eyes after a while, so you have to limit how much visual jazz you have to compensate for that.

I really like the main header, thats the place where you can go to town and have. But Icons need to remain functional, specially when you have people reading on smart phones etc. Think sleek and sophisticated. Runes are fine, but keep them one solid color without the outer glow.
