| Damn, those teal "reflections" on helmets are just nuts! Also it appears You've made Sky-Earth reflections on metals/laquer, that's even more nuts! And bases? No way...
To be honest I dig Your "black, metal, teal" colour scheme.
I wonder how purple glyphs and tattoos would look on Your models.

| Hi
I Would have left bases clear but had to physically glue the bases in to make them useable in test games. So they got sprayed black. I may have to put stuff on the bases but don't want to as I feel it will put too much red on the model.
There is some purple in there already, though my tattoos in this army are Red and black.
You'll probably see some purple glyphs when I get onto the Razorwing.

| Actually I thought about infantry bases. Just... wow. Nothing scream Dark Eldar more than blood. I like idea AND execution ( ) of it. I still... wait for my models, but I totally would loot some ideas. | |

| That pilot looks awesome, I thank my lucky stars I don't have to put my models on the same table as yours. Once I get round to them I'm planning on giving a whole squad of wyches these glossy helmets and I'll definitely be using your work as inspiration. | |

Indeed. I have looked here and on your blog and not found which black paint are you using on your vehicles exactly? I understand that it's watered down and also hand-painted on, but which one is it and is there anything else you add to it? And what do you edge your vehicles with, please? Thanks very much.

| The undercoat is halfords matt black spray paint, first stage highlighting is adeptus battlegrey and proper highlights are blended fortress.
Chaos black actually dries onto the primer a little grey, so when im doing touch ups our repair ill ad some black ink as it makes it blacker and gives a slight shine so its more like primer.
Cheers | |

Cheers Thanks very much Sorrowshard. I really love the finished look of your vehicles, so I may experiment along similar lines.

| Yeah Feel free, I'm realy pleased with the Razorwing, it's a bit nicer IRL and I have since got rid of the blue stuff on the base and replaced it with GK wreckage, looks much better now.
I'll do an update pic next time the camera is out ;o)

| I don't know what i can say that has not been said here. It looks just ridiculus fantastic. You are truly a artist with mini's.
I looked true the thread but did not find any shot of the army as a whole? Perhaps something to take a shot at?
On top of that, great photos. I'm often just taking my Galaxy S2 and taking a quick photo of the thing on the gaming table. When my army is comeplete i think i'l actually use a real camera and get some light and a nice background going.

| Thankyou no really thankyou , thats a great compliment, I'm glad my models have bought you some pleasure.
Army shot is proving difficult due to lighting, I need to build a bigger light box and maybe get another daylight bulb .... It'll happen
Armies not finished yet, and time is tight so I can't really be wasting energy on that atm, hel it may do well at throne so I imagine there is a possibility for pictures that way ?
Update incoming | |
