| Don't generally use special characters, but the models are usually cool, and I'd happily get Kheradruakh to use as my nightfiend, or Drazhar to use as my Klaivex | |

| I'd be interested to see if they re make the Dais of Destruction and Vect. Making a model that big would be horrible in resin, so maybe they will do it in plastic. If they do that then I can see myself getting one, if they do a good enough job on the model.
Also, if they do Lady Auerelia Malys I think that it would be excellent for conversions into a Lhamaean. The only other one I'm wishing for is Drazhar, but I do love the old model. I think they may show Kheradruakh some love, seeing as GW seemed to forget about him in the old Codex. I think, however, that they may wrelease him depending whether or not his popularity changes in the coming weeks.
Only time will tell, but I sure am excited.

| Well, with all the psykery in 6th, I think they realize that Lady Malys will be in great demand... | |

| I still argue for Vect as a plastic box set. Ravager plus a sprue which would make the Dais, concubines and extras as well as Vect himself. Whether that will happen however is an entirely different matter... | |

| I expect Vect to just get a finecast miniature. The Dais was pretty much a last minute addition thrown in so people who have the old model could use it. I seriosuly doubt they bother updating the model. | |

| If the new models are in finecast I won't buy them.
My own experiences combined with an episode in my local gamestore where they had to replace a LoTR kit 8 times made me decide that I will not buy finecast for any reason.

| 8 times? yikes, that's not good. My worst experience was the 20th Anniversary figure, which I had to get a replacement for. The second one they sent still wasn't perfect as a whole, but did at least have the part i needed cast properly so I didn't fuss any further than that. Using the bits as dead marine bodies on other models now. | |

| My 1000th post is an exclusive rumour from Stickmonkey. After a short conversation with him about what to expect he has more information for us. - Stickmonkey wrote:
- My birds didn't specify. There are 4 models he says set for a late fall release, 3 finecast and one big plastic. I'm going on the assumption the plastic kit is the bomber.
What does this mean for us: Only 3 of the currently 6 outstanding special characters will have a model released. Asdrubael Vect Lady Malys, Duke Sliscus, Baron Sathonyx, The Decapitator, Drazhar. With the recent rerelease of Drazhar in Finecast then that possibly rules him out; GW have a precedent of releasing characters with artwork so that points back towards Drazhar as well as The Decapitator and Baron. This however leaves out the popular Duke, Malys and Vect. The Voidraven was previously rumoured to be released in August and if so, I'm placing a Mars Bar on Vect and the Dais being the 'big plastic kit'. Again, many thanks to Stickmonkey. Sky.

| Yup, I'd go with Vect as the plastic kit and much as I'd hate to admit, Drazhar is looking...unlikely. My guess would be Malys (doubles as a female archon), Kheradruakh and the baron. I'd like to say the duke but I can't see it just yet, hellions seem to get a buff according to the rumours so I'd go with him for a model. | |

Well, that's Duke and Baron for you. The 'flyer base' aludes to either Baron or confirms the Voidraven. I need to get something off my chest: SLISCUS!!!!!!!

| YAY! I shall definately get the Duke model, as that guy is a space rock star, and I'll probably get the Baron just because his model should be awesome. I was hoping for Vect and his Dais, but I'm not dissapointed really. | |

| Really hoping for the Duke and Lady. Spent WAY too much time converting my Baron to have to buy the real deal (assuming that it is awesome!) | |

| Personally, I don't see the need for a full plastic kit for Vect. I can entirely see his model being a Finecast kit, perhaps even throwing in some concubines to place on a Raider to mark it as the Dais.
I also have to say, the Duke model had better have Ziggy Stardust style tattoos, dammit.

| Without further delay, the upcoming release is:
Dark Eldar Razorwing Flock Dark Eldar Prisoners Dark Eldar Beastmaster Dark Eldar Clawed Fiend Drazhar Dark Eldar Khymerae
On da list anyway - so appears that Drazhar is confirmed!

| So this release appears to consist entirely of Finecast version of already-released metal models... yay.
Necrons have their entire range available with 8 months of the book's release. Dark Eldar will still be waiting 2 years after their book's release.

| Thanks for your input regarding the finecast wave but we already have an entire thread dedicated to that.
We still have a few models waiting for release but I think everyone knows GW has been very kind to us with what has been released.

Yeah, I'm probably just spoiled by my Ogre Kingdoms and Vampire Counts getting all their new models released along with their army books. For 40k, getting all your models within a year is nearly unheard-of. Considering how long Marines and Eldar had to wait for Drop Pods/Wave Serpents...

| and necrons probably wouldn't have had all that if so many of their kits weren't multi-unit. | |
