I used to be a bit handy with the Tau back in the day. If you have any questions about them PM me.

My only question regarding Tau: how do I convince my opponent to stop taking Broadsides and Crisis Suits? Bribes? Candy? Blackjack to the rear of the head?

Codex that have other viable options should work.

Thank you for the amazing work! I'm having some difficultly lately with Grey Knight Purifiers (I think, the 2 wound Terminators) especially with an attached Librarian. Maybe you could take a look at them soon?

I won't lie. Grey Knights, being the new kid on the block, are the codex with which I have the least experience. I've developed solid theories and practices against them, but have gotten precious few games in, since these past three months have been perhaps the busiest of my life... and my regular Grey Knight player is full-on Warmachine now.

The model you're thinking of is the Paladin, by the way. Purifiers are much scarier.

Eldar tactica coming along, but taking longer as I'm writing more. I got to use the phrase ceramic defecatorium.

As for Grey Knights, they can certainly eat most other armies alive, but they are an army that focuses on MEQ and Monstrous Creatures with a sprinkling of everything else. Dark Eldar are pretty much the Paper to their Rock.

In Gav's defense, he actually tried to make the Chaos book more varied, but Alessio came down on him with a concrete hammer. GW was pursuing this whole minimalist less-is-more approach to wargaming and Chaos was the pinnacle of this philosophy - before they realized that particular idea was about as intelligent as licking electrical sockets and a whole lot less exciting.

Errrrnnnn... not exactly. We've got some definite strengths, but so do the GK. I'll get into it, no worries.

Sweet god, I just wrote 3 pages on the Farseer alone. I hope you guys are going to like this one. Fair warning, this likely won't be ready until Sunday. I have a good amount of work to do tomorrow and an all-day event on Saturday.

Does nobody seriously have any problems with Orks? I swear, they kicked me stupid until the newest codex was released - of course, then I won every time.

Never had a problem against orks. Though, I only played them once, and then it was mainly my count-as Eldrad who made the big jobs...

I had 5000 pts of Chaos that was invalidated by his rubbish and has since been sold or traded off. They were my first army and my love of their fluff is what really got me into Warhammer. I can be bitter if I want

Yea the Legions of Chaos really got neutered by the "renegades" book. I feel for you veteran Night Lords, and Iron Warrior players.

I'm very interested to see your thoughts on DE/Eldar match up, I think Eldar are one of the harder match ups for DE.

I wont say anything else now as I do not want to plant any ideas, I just wan't to see your pure opnion.

...if you're referring to the Eldar analysis (damn you unclear pronouns), then the reason you can't find it is because I'm not done with it yet!

I actually just hit the Troops section. As an aside, once I top the Eldar codex off, I'll be somewhere near 80 written pages between the codices. Yikes this is big!

Say all you'd like; conversation is good. I'm pretty well-versed in the Eldar, as I said, and I know what's devastating against DE and what's not. They can definitely be beaten and I've done so multiple times - you just have to know what to do. Funny that the Eldar don't play like Space Marines...

I'd much rather face off against a tough-as-nails Mechdar list than a Chimera Wall, any day of the week. Talk about nemesis.

*I meant to add that you're quite unlikely to change my analysis unless you've got some stunning insight I've managed to miss over the last several years of not just playing against them but helping my friends build winning Eldar lists.
