You have not enough anti tank weapons - on first turn you will shoot from 2 only and everythging you have will be busted first turn. Also only STR 6 unit in army.

Also, why scissorhand when you can have venom blade? Why vex mask? Why Ichor Injector?

You will be deploying haemys with grots i think. And how will you use your webway? in 6 inches of your deployment zone? or on turn 3? You MUST put them in raider!!!!!

sorry forgot to add in where i am placing everyone . well urien will be with one squad of grots coming out of the webway and the ancient will be going with the second grots also going from the webway. the reg heamonculus will be riding it with the warriors in the raider to pop the webway and act as his retinue. they will be using there DL and blasters to shoot the main prioritys and the Blasterborn will be helping them everything else will be in reserve to be poping from the webways. ichor injector i threw in just to try it and the vex mask i want at least something to try and protect my lord and thats all he can get lol i also like scissor hand because it give the abberation that extra attack. 7 str 7 attacks on the charge that can reroll wounds, i think thats worth it

The Venom Blade are better than scizzrs if fighting mainly marines...Szzrs only get better when fighting units with WS3 or lower. Against marines your paying 10 more pnts for .05 more dead marines than a Venomblade.

That is not worth it go Vblades save your self 20 pnts.

and if your going to use flesh gaunlets...id put them on the Grotes Abb. Flesh Guant counts as Poison so grotesques Strgth 6(7oncharge) can rerol lto wound on things such as GK Pallies, MCs and the like...mephiston! Very Happy

Ancient Heamo wont gain the reroll benefit due to its low Strnght.

I have played with Urien a couple times now (like 5 or 6 times) so here are my thoughts on him.

I have not tried an Ancient yet and I think he is kind of lost. I would leave him regular with a shattershard and perhaps angoniser if you want to trick him out a bit. The gauntlet I like on the Aberration as mentioned above.

Now I have only ever used 1 squad and they were on a raider, not in the portal. Urien, haemy and grots were shot at the enemy with “flat-out” advanced aether sail speed while the haemys dropped the portal with the wracks.

I do plan on running 2 grot squads but not in a wwp list, in a rush list and again they would be shot at the opponent as fast as I can. I have found that when they do this they get within charge range when the enemy freaks and shoots them down. They are fearless, T5, sitting in 4+ cover with FnP and nobody wanting to charge them.

Not quite sure how they do out of a wwp without a good move, fleet or charge radius. I understand you want to get close with the wwp but going beyond the midline with the portal risks the deploying squad from getting charged as well as getting the portal surrounded and the last thing you want are your grotesques walking off your board edge with nothing to charge.

I have also discovered that 3 grotesques is more than enough and I really didn’t see the difference from having 4. Having 3 allows you to make them all different for wound allocation shenanigans and I have found that Urien, a hamey and grotesques do just fine in CC so I would recommend dropping that 4th grotesque.

I am not a big Truborn fan but I did try them on foot coming out of the portal and found them very useful. I will try them in a venom one day but I wouldn't hesitate taking the venom away in order to give the wyches or a grot squad a raider.

I use the same setup except with a raider. Scares me to have them come out of portal without a ride but I haven’t tried this yet so I will say nothing.

I would easily trade these guys for a squad of wracks. If you put the Haemy here with wracks and give them one of Uriens tokens they would be perfect for deploying wwps. Haven’t lost a wwp wrack squad yet when I didn’t win 1st move so I am a little partial. I have used a raider squad like this but they really didn’t perform for me – haven’t used them with a Haemy yet so maybe they are better now.

Easily drop the extra CCW. I like the liquefier but the Stinger pod is something I would give a Talos if it wasn’t using the portal. If you think you will be in range of a liquefier coming out of the portal then you can imagine what a twin-linked heat lance will do. Use the lance to pop armor and then charge the passengers. I love the lance and liquefier and wouldn’t think of anything else if you are planning to use the wwp with these guys.

The Ichor injector is kind of lost on me – if I pretty much leave the flesh gauntlet for that so if you want to try something out then try the chain-flail upgrade.

So it looks like you want to try some things out and that is fine too – I try to use items before deciding not to use them anyway so good luck and happy hunting!

just wanted to test most of these out was bored. i know most of the things you guys said were right most upgrades are just a waste to many points that could have been used somewhere else. one thing tho the wych squad is awesome coming out of the webway i played them a few times but with squads of 15 ... man they tore units a new one. if you can multi assault they are amazing.

I dont think its worth taking 2 seperate units of Grots if hey will be walking in.. I'd do 1 unit of Grots & 2 units of Wracks & 2 units of Trueborn.

Also, Scissor hand doesnt make sence since its a 3+ to wound so it nerfs the stregnth bonus of the Abberation. @ its points Id do with the Mindphase just so you retain the stregnth & have an added bonus when needed. (too bad they have such a bad choice of equiptment)
