| Post all Dark Eldar news from GD Chicago (and hopefully there will be some) here in this thread. Please post all non-DE news and rumour in this other thread in the GW/Other News & Rumour sub-forum.And PLEASE, if anyone is going, get some good pics of concepts in any sketchbooks that might be available. And here's the Forge World announcement from Warseer, which sounds quite promising: " Games Day Chicago Update The intrepid Forge World sales team, joined by designers Mark Bedford and Will Hayes are now in Chicago for Games Day USA on 30th July. In addition to our sales stand which will be packed with a huge selection of resin kits, books and modelling supplies, and our Studio stand which will have exciting, previously unseen models on display, we’re excited to announce that Mark will be hosting an exclusive Forge World and Warhammer Forge seminar, with a presentation focusing on some of the unseen releases scheduled for the next few months." Thank you.

| The following info from SMC on BoLS is all that I have seen so far anywhere. There's a little bit for DE, but not much (as expected).
[quote]I got video of the full seminar (here in 4 parts) ...... I posted an info dump on my blog, but here's the copy/paste. There's surely things I'm forgetting.(hence the taking of video!)
More Contemptor arms.(Plasma Cannon, Heavy Conversion Beamer, Mortis Pattern(Typhoon Launchers and butt Cannons on each arm), Heavy Bolters) Imperial Armour 11 is set for sale Nov-Dec.(He said Holidays) Imperial Armour 12 is likely to feature Dark Eldar More Marine Armor variants to come... More Marine shoulder pad sets... More Land Raider Variants(a plasma cannon variant was explicitly mentioned) They will continue to introduce Special Character models from the Badab War.(A beautiful Techmarine with a conversion beamer was shown off) A full picture of the huge Dark Eldar skimmer was shown
There were a few rumor confirmations...such as Bran Redmaw being the IA 11 Space wolves special character. ......[unquote]

| Look at 1:25 minutes into this video and you will see a pic of the finished catamaran, now called the Dark Eldar Tantalus. Even more gorgeous than the original concept!

| He has also confirmed DE etched brass to go alongside the new model. The Tantalus looks interesting, has been embellished a lot more than the WIP picture; as he says will make a nice centrepiece. Rules will be in the rereleased Imperial Armour book. *edited for picture, screenshot courtesy of Captain Xavier of Warseer | |

| Based on the flying base and I think a warrior hanging onto it (the pic is pretty blurry), the Tantalus seems to be quite big. Not as big as a baneblade, but definetly larger than my only FW superheavy, the Malcador. I'm glad it isn't super huge because I must buy it and I don't really have the money for something the size of a titan right now . | |

| I'd really like to see it next to a Raider to really see the sense of scale. What are your opinions on the price? £80? | |

| I think I'll try to make Raiders resembling this. I really like the general design of it. | |

| Price isnt important, rules are. If it gona be crap as Reaper no one gona byu it even if it has awesome model.
I would be glad if it has some huge transport capacity, to put 15 wyches or 20 warior in it.

| I will also be building my own, I have trouble affording most things from FW.
I have been stockpiling various Raider hull bitz from online suppliers since I first saw the catamaran pics from FW Open Day. I'm going to finally get started as soon as I finish my army for the Astro tournie in 3 weeks' time. Hopefully by then the rules for the Tantalus will be published so that I know what weapon options to build into it.

| I'm buying that thing and scultping a Jabba the Hutt look alike counts as Haemunculus to ride in it. Even if it has no transport capacity.I will not be stopped. | |

| Based on the apparent lack of major armament, I'd say it's definitely intended as a transport. There was also another early concept pic for it (I think) from FW Open Day where you can see what I presume to be Warriors lining the side of each of the two hulls (also of note is the twin sails). Sorry it's a bit blurry, but I had to enlarge it a fair bit. | |

| Here's a better picture, direct from FW's website. The more I see it the more I like, think I'll pick it up as a treat for finishing my army in time for October - if I do. | |

| Looks like it's armed with heavy desintegrator cannons of some kind. Combined with the size the 'meagre' weaponry says this should have a transport capacity of some sort, especially because of the hang-on warrior. Hopefully it will have a capacity of more then 10 models. | |

| ^That would be win.
Judging by the Warrior hanging off of it the whole sucker looks to be about twice as wide as a Raider and half again as long, yeah? I like the vibe. If my local Apocalypse attempts ever get off the ground this will be a serious purchase consideration.

| Thanks Sky, I haven't been able to find this on the FW site yet. The weapons are much clearer here, maybe "stubby void lances" as mentioned in the Voidraven thread? Doesn't seem to have much else though, no secondary wep's visible? | |

| With a little work I think it would make a nice Dias conversion. | |

| Heavy Desintegrator Cannosns or one twin-linked. Amazing sails....love the vibe they make. And all we have to do is puting net betwen huls, under sail to catch slaves by tank shock | |

| I'm a little sad about the hole in the deck. I was actually enjoying the idea of a legitimate deck where you could pose multiple models. It's still got a pretty decent stretch, just broken up by the sail.
Really looking forward to that IA book.
