| I've been checking Forge World's page daily to see if it's been released yet (much to the amusement of my girlfriend, who has recently come to the conclusion that I am Obsessed!). I expect a price of about £80-£90, which means this'll be a big christmas present, if I decide to go for it at all.
I hope it doesn't fulfill the same role as the 'Reaper' they released recently, as an army which has a lot of access to 'Lance' weaponary doesn't need any more tank killers. To the shock/amusement of the people of this site, I will admit that I field Novehicles in my Dark Eldar army, but... if the Tantalus turns out to be a flying landraider with a transport capacity of 20, I may just be swayed to go airborne.

| The Reaper is even worse than a Ravager for killing Vehicles, the rules eed major work, hopefully when it is fixed it will offer something better but different in MO from the Ravager.
Ravagers are really a suppression unit tbh, Is why they are cheap but not especially brilliant.
Im curious to see what he tantalus brings to the party, possibly void lances judging from the front or possibly Dissie ++'s ?
Agin if FW mess upon the rules I wont get one , just like the Reaper , its not worth the money ust to put it on the table it sucking and sitting on the shelf , I actually want to buy stuff I'll enjoy using , all FW's Eldar rules have in the main been a suck-fest

Exactly what I thought when I read the experimental rules. Hopefully we should see this revised in the next IA book. I'm not the biggest fan of the Dark Eldar's 'haywire' weapons, as they seem to be beaten hands down by their craftworld cousins' 'Shadow Spectres', who, for some reason unknown, can score penetrating hits easier when they are equipped witha haywire launcher.

| It just screams among many things "please dont't fall over and break into lots of tiny little pieces".
Well it puts it around $140USD which by Forgeworld standards is considered affordable.

| Looks pretty sizeable for the Dias in my opinion - though I see no reason it couldn't work. | |

| It would be interesting if the new dissies were AI and its bladevane was AT... definately goes well as an opposite of reavers with AT shooting and AI special move. And if these regain their plasma blast, Im definately getting 2 | |

| I like it. Quite unique looking. I like catamarans anyway and this one reminds me of them.

| The fluff that came with the Newsletter goes like this...
Dark Eldar Tantalus
First crafted, so it is said, for the Archon Surasis Grief of the Kabal of the Dark Mirror, the Dark Eldar Tantalus is an assault skimmer, somewhat larger and more complex in design than the Raider, and accordingly better armed. Its distinctive twin-hulled design houses powerful engine-reactors slaved to enhanced drives and its unique scythevane armament.
One of the largest Dark Eldar vehicles yet encountered by the Imperial war machine, the cruel reavers who crew this sleek engine of destruction take delight in mounting high-speed attacks, slicing through the hulls of enemy vehicles and rending infantry into crimson shreds, heralded by the screech of the molecular dissonance fields of its scythevanes and the rapid fire of its pulse-disintegrator armament.
The Tantalus, designed by Daren Parrwood, is a detailed full resin kit that includes a set of etched brass deck panels. Measuring nearly 11” from prow to stern, this twin-hulled vehicle is a great addition to any Dark Eldar army. With its full rules contained within the forthcoming Imperial Armour Apocalypse Second Edition, the Tantalus will be available in limited numbers from the Forge World Sales stand at Games Day UK, priced £85.
I wonder what the 'molecular dissonance fields of its scythvanes' and the 'rapid fire of its pulse-disintegrator armament' would be? Wave Serpent like AP reducing force field? Reaver like vehicle drive by attacks? Long ranged, twin-linked dissie shots?

| ~1,5x as long as Land Raider, if I'm correct. However width may be comparable to LR, if it's "boat" like DE Raider. | |

| As it's an 'assault skimmer' I hope you can put a full squad of 20 wyches (or warriors) in it. What a beast! | |

| If I'm correct Apoc allows You to transport multiple units in one vehicle, so if it have 20-30 model cap... it may be cool.
As for transport, I doubt You can fit that into army case so "scratchbuild" box is necessary. Also detachable sail and base (it's on large oval btw) so magnets + pin are pretty much "must do".
