| Splitting our codex to three... it makes a lot of sense, however, buying THREE codecii instead of one sucks.
Yarr, and a bottle of rum...

| Well maybe that's just me but I dare them make me pay 3 Dexes (i.e. one dex and the two supplements to be able to use a wych/coven themed force) when they could stuff it into the main book just fine.
Even worse if they acutally removed cult and coven stuff from the main dex entirely. I would be so furious.
Lets just hope they give us a decent make-over and adjust some rules and points. Any cool new unit we get is a bonus these days when you look at the last 40k releases.

| I don't believe that they'll split the codex in three at all, but if they do I'm going to quit playing DE. | |

| I assume it's along the lines that there will be the basic codex and two supplements one cult and one coven. But if for some reason you have to buy three codices to have a functional army, and they're not a third the cost of a normal codex, I think I'll just get out of warhammer entirely. I won't support it, and I'll route for GW's downfall. | |

As a student with very little money I'd much rather spend that money on... food, y'know... so I can live.

| Well, most powerful rosters were just spamming Kabal units, so one can probably live with only a main codex | |

| Personally I don't see GW splitting the codex, if they were to go straight Kabal that's 1 HQ(Assuming they do cut the no model HQs) 2 Elites, 1 Troop, 1 Transport ( Venom is very much Cult) and 2 heavy. Possibly 1 Fast Attack based on how you place Scourges. We don't really have enough troops to split it up. | |

| Welll....... if they chop up the codex I have heard of a way to download for free after they have been out a little while so I am not too worried but ...... If they do it is a cheap ass shot at gouging us players of the 40k yet again like the other codexes.... i will not pay like $150 for 3 codexes that used to be one.....
Would really like to know at what point in the GW company timeline they decided it was best to screw with the stats for certain weapons that basically functioned fine and have us relearn about CCW/PW capabilities and generally jack up all the codexes one way or another because they all are/did......
Keep pulling stupid stuff and maybe just maybe they will destroy 40k like they did WF.....

| They wont split it. Why is that possibility even being suggested? (Grey knight? Inquisition and assassins should never have been in that book to begin with.) If anything, it's a main codex (with all of the units in it along with their rules) and two supplements with formations, different FOC, relics, and warlord traits, just like every other supplement published in 7th. I'll buy the codex for the rules and buy the cult supplement if only for the fluff. | |

| The BoLS/Natfka rumors today are pretty bad. There is just no way GW would split DE into 3 books. I'm *hoping* we get two but I think that's incredibly unlikely. DE have great models but let's be real, they aren't a center piece of the 40k universe. Heck we've barely had any FW love at all and DE were just an add on force for the apoc supplement they were in.
Plastic tantalus, is a big maybe. The only way I see this happening is if FW just gives up trying to produce that model and GW wants to release an actual Dias model and not just something like the space wolf silliness.
Incubi being priced cheaper than wracks? Lol. That runs completely counter to how GW prices stuff.
All in all I'd say ignore those posts

All in all I'd say ignore those posts The cheaper Incubi likely means a plastic set of five, like hellions and scourges, possibly a duel kit with trueborn. It came from Father Gab originally who has close to 100% accuracy in his rumors so I wouldn't dismiss that one out of hand.

I begin DE with wych cult, so i will buy wych suppl, but coven units doesn`t bother me (i have them, but not as the core army) Too bad i don`t have money for that If new redaction will come in september, than i can buy something only october-november Livepainsad

| I haven't read the last page but why would they split a DE codex? That's the dumbest idea ever. They're already one of the least played armies so why would you give them three codexes? What would they be anyways? A Coven, Wych, and Kabal one all with like 15 options? I'd rather not. If anything will get a Codex and a Black Heart supplement. | |

| IMO coven is distinctive enough to merit a supplement. Really opens things up. Make Wracks troops in the supplement, loads of extra coveny options.
Alternatively, they might have meant a specific wych cult and specific coven supplement. Cult of Strife and Prophets of Flesh (or whatever Urien's one is called).

| Well the rumour about the Tantalus seems to be cleared. He is on a list to be sold at some event - but it is the actual FW Tantalus, so no new one.
Regarding the three books. I think it is pretty obvious. The codex will be heavily fixed on the Kabals, but with still the option to use all units. The two other books will feature loss of background and additional rules to play with a cult or a coven.

There is noway we'll be the only army with three books.

| Really I'm still surprised we're getting one at all this quickly. When I was umming and ahhing about whether to start collecting again a few years ago, my friend asked me what I was collecting last. I told him Dark Eldar, and he said they'd just had a new book. I didn't realise that by "new book", he meant that the one I had been playing with ten years previously had only just been replaced. I'd like it if we got any supplements really - not saying I'd necessarily buy it, but anything that allows us more options (if we're prepared to pay for them of course) is good. | |

| I don't understand why GW is so insistent on trying to make money off of pictures of painted models. Twenty years ago it might have worked, but why would I pay for a book when I can see better paint jobs on the internet for free?
Hell, I can just visit the painting and modelling section here in the Dark City to get my fix.
