The design team is not just the model designers. It's the rules writers, artists, eavy metal etc and includes everyone you might expect to have an involvement in creating the models and background.

Archon Weapon options, anything new?

Awkward.... it seems my post disappeared. Apologies if this somehow ends up as a duplicate...

So, question(s) about Archon (and associated gear).

- How much is the new Djinn Blade
- Does the Djinn Blade stack with another weapon? ie, does having the gear simply confer bonus attacks? Or must you use the Blade itself (a power sword) to gain the additional benefits?

What I'm trying to sort out is whether or not the Archon will be a proper lawnmower (for anything other than 2+ saves, that is). If you're able to power up the Soul Trap, you're looking at a *very* reliable wound-machine. Adding more attacks to this is, obviously, only beneficial.
Since the Archon no longer likes to snort with his wych friends, this seems the only way to even hope for bolstering his attacks.

I may have missed it, but what rules changes were made to the weapons of the Chronos Parasite Engine? Are they the same (minus giving out a pain token)?

No more pain tokens, both are strength 3 ap 3. I noticed that the demiklaives now only give +1 strenght when used together but that's just from a summary screenshot so don't believe it until confirmed.

Thanks! Odd though. I wonder why they decided to reduce the strength (on both the Chronos and the demiklaives).

Question: If i read right, many units (Coven, Sslyth, etc) start with FnP. Is this basic 5+ FnP, right, not just "count PfP 1 turn better"? So native 5+, that is unaffected by PfP Turn 2-3, AND Talos can boost it to FnP(4+)?

1. Yes, FnP (5+) unaffected by PfP 2-3 but it the chronos that can boost it to 4+, not Talos

incubi are the same as before but only 20p. Klaivex is 10p more and only he has Rampage and access to demiklaives that are the samme as before (15p).

1. Since Lhamaeans seem to be the new wyches what kind of gear do they have besides the 2+ poison blades?
2. How is the artwork of the codex? color pictures of units or just pictures of the models?

2. Color Pictures in the fluff but only model Pictures in the army section. (mostly bad Pictures since they take med Pictures too close to the models, IMHO)

What kind of upgrade options do grotesques have?
I think I;ve read that they come with liquifiers and flesh gauntlets. True?

1. ?? Are all troops not objective secured troops?

2. Both the formation and detachment provides a 5+ plus cover for troops. It is not shrouded.

48" S6 AP2, small Blast, one use only

No carbines for trueborn.... That is really really not nice of GW. Good that I have a squad of splinter born, well I guess they just look fancy now...

Thanks a lot Scorpion, for providing us with all the info. Seems to be a lot of changes, even if small and each unit has a specific roll. At least I can now finish painting my 9 mandrakes. They are also min squad size of 5 right? So no riding in the archon venom.
