| They look great, burning_eye! I really like the subtle freehands on your vehicles! And the feathers of the scourges are gorgeous. Keep it up | |

| Your rate of progress has been immense, particularly considering the supreme level of detail. I hope after all this effort the tournament goes well for you | |

| Thanks everyone! I'm really pleased with the overall look as things come together, and I'm looking forward to seeing the coven stuff alongside them too, they're going to be in a contrasting black and red scheme so should look pretty striking alongside the more pastel shades of the kabalite section. @Dragontree - thanks very much, I'm not expecting miracles since i'm completely new to tournament play, I'm aiming for the top half, but one win would probably keep me fairly satisfied. | |

| Apologies for the appalling lighting here, I promise to take some better pics soon (nicked my dad's camera and tripod to do it too) But for now - Here's the Empirican and the last warrior squad! I've basecoated the last venom, then got distracted putting basecoats on 5 bloodstone knights assault marines and a librarian dreadnought, oops! (Once this 1850pts is complete, I've decided to do at least 3 months on the bloodstone knights to get a playable allied force finished) | |

| I would be very happy with those grots I'm not too sure on the gold bones sticking through their skin (i'd have removed them and green stuffed over them), but all in all, a fantastic outcome. | |

Ah, see I cut them down quite a bit, they're meant to be restraining spikes rather than bones, where the grot was nailed down to the experiment slab before alteration.

| Ok so I realise I've been a very naughty boy recently in not posting updates to my plog - you can rest assured my haemonculus is extracting an appropriate sum of agony from me for this - I haven't been sitting back doing nothing, but work and real life have been a bit manic in the last couple of weeks, i even missed my weekly painting update on my blog last week thanks to the easter hols and a trip to see the in-laws.
My BlogWars list is rapidly approaching completion however, with the only models I have left to complete for it being a pilot for the grotesque raider, and the finishing touches to three reavers.
I'll post up some pics hopefully tonight but possibly in the next few days (once they've been suitably filtered for quality and framing purposes - see the finished pics on page 1!)
The next question of course though is what do I do next? I'm committed to working on my blood angels successors for a bit, along with my skaven bloodbowl team for a summer league, and my escher necromunda gang to keep my orlocks company.
What I do have planned post-blogwars though is a few big games. 3000pts is the limit, and to that end I've composed a list comprising the majority of my collections (currently stands at around 3600pts). Now as you can imagine, using most of my collection means it's not going to be hugely 'competitive' as I don't have a coherent collection strategy above about 2000pts, but here we go anyway
Realspace Raiders Detachment
HQ Succubus, Glaive, haywire, armour of misery Archon, agoniser, blast pistol, shadowfield, helm of spite, WWP
Elites 5 Incubi including Klaivex in dual cannon venom with chain snares
Troops 10 Kabalite Warriors in raider with dark lance, night shields, splinter racks, torment launcher 10 Kabalite Warriors in raider with dark lance, night shields, splinter racks, torment launcher 5 Kabalite Warriors and blaster in dual cannon venom 5 Kabalite Warriors and blaster in dual cannon venom
Fast Attack 9 Reavers with 2 caltrops and grav talon, 2 blasters and heat lance, arena champion with agoniser 5 Scourges with 4 heat lances 5 Scourges with 4 haywire blasters 10 Hellions with Helliarch, phantasm grenade launcher, stunclaw and splinter pistol Razorwing with 2 dark lances, splinter cannon
Heavy Support Ravager with triple lances Ravager with triple lances
Covenite Coterie Detachment
HQ Haemonculus with agoniser, scissorhand, vexator mask Urien Rakarth
Elites 4 Grotesques including aberration, in Raider with dark lance, chain snares and torment launcher 5 wracks with ossefactor in venom with chain snares, dual cannons
Heavy Support 2 Talos with ichor injectors and splinter cannons
As is said, no strategy above 2000pts, and my coven stuff is way behind where i'd like to be in terms of model count (hence no grotesquerie or scalpel squadron). This list was built around the premise of 'no proxies' so I'm not expecting wonders, but it should be fun to play at least, especially if I come up against non-marine armies!

| Naughty boy! Congrats on nearly finishing. It has been a herculean effort on your part, but thoroughly enjoyable to chart your progress. I still have quite a few thunderwolves to paint before my list is ready. SC | |

| I love the filigree work on the venoms, subtle ostentation if such a thing is possible. And such nice basing, something I really should work on mine are very plain. | |

| Thanks both! I've really started to put much more effort into my bases over the last couple of years - I used to just sand them and paint to look snowy to get them out of the way. Whilst I still don't like doing them much, I did some heavy conversion work on bases for my Orlock Necromunda gang and that added so much character to the models I decided to do it for my other collections too. It also means I get to mimic paint schemes from the guys at club in terms of limbs, guns etc, just to add a little spice to games | |

| Nice work, TBE. it's all meshing nicely. The haemy raider stands out like a sore (then amputated and reattached and turned into a scissor hand) thumb, but that's the idea, and it's grand!

| Thank you both - I have more coven stuff to come (currently a Dark Artisan and a wrack squad in venom) but as none has any paint on it yet it'll be a while before I get to it as my next project is to finish off units that I've already started (there's a lot...).
The plan, eventually, is to have three separate sections, the two you see here, and the cult side of things, which will focus on using the turquoise colour as the main one (look out for some 'Tron' themed Hellions!)
