Knight Equip by the looks of it
- 2 Scatter Lasers - One Pumped Brightlance/ Super Duper Wraithsword - Forcefield ( ?+ invul )
Judging that wriathlord is T8, this has to be T8+.

| I think the forcefield is a 3++ save.
And their flier indeed does look like ours. As it should. The venom is also a close relative to the vyper. Same origin and all that.
What I find really interesting is the apparent Iyanden addition book. Is this GW trying to find out if they can settle for some extra books for special marine chapters, craftworlds, harlequins!!, ork tribes etc. This could be great news!

After assembling a Riptide I can honestly say that I am really excited to get one of these kits. I'll care so much more when I go to paint it!

| I'm not sure about the Wraithknight. It has a crotch shield! Why a crotch shield? (Other than the shield and the duel-disk thing it has, it's alright.) | |

| I like the knight. Its propertions look better than on the riptide IMHO. Eldar was my first army (DE was just too ugly bad then) and allthough I prefer to play with the true kin at this point my eldar are only a display cabinet away. I am SOOO getting one, if my wallet (read wife ) allows it EDIT: I don't take the addition of these big guys as something negative. A couple of years ago we didn't have flyers and now they work fine. Its just to keep the hobby fresh and interesting. Chaos got the big creature/machine things. Tau got the riptide. So far they havn't been overpowered and fits nicely into existing lists. Here's to hoping its gonna stay that way. | |

What I find really interesting is the apparent Iyanden addition book. Is this GW trying to find out if they can settle for some extra books for special marine chapters, craftworlds, harlequins!!, ork tribes etc. This could be great news! Awesome, it reminds me of the craftworlds book in 3rd edition, it seems like that could be a fitting way for GW to go with problems like black Templars and maybe even expand on a chaos legion or two, it seems slightly odd that they chose Iyanden above any of the other 5 major craftworlds, but I guess if they are producing a gigantic wraith construct and (rumours say) plastic wraith guard it makes a little more sense to champion the "wraith" craftworld I don't really like the design of the wraith knight , there is too much going on with the legs, too many Lumps and bumps, it seems to have about 5 knees on each leg... and the barrel chest doesn't make it look particularly elegant either, surely the pilot doesn't need that much room... Ironically the helmet reminds me more of the talos helms than anything craftworldy, but that's not necessarily a bad thing since I only really use my craftworlders as allied for my dark kin nowerdays. On the flip side the force field thing is very cool and the blade rocks too (would've been cooler as a spear though).

| The proportions on the Wraithknight image aren't right as it is a shot from a magazine, at an angle; check the Warseer thread and you'll see someone has 'shopped the picture so the proportions are correct.
Anyway, it is officially Christmas time here in Commorragh, very very excited.

| the warseer thread seems to have disapear, probably doomsdayed by the inquisistion as for the proportions, we are far from the eldar revenant from FW, we will find out soon cant wait to know more about the flyer as it have 2 canopy like our bomber ! | |

Yep, Warseer doesn't allow discussion of pictorial rumours before the release date any more, apparently GW has threatened them with legal proceedings for giving them so much free advertising.

| Oh dear, I must absolutely have one Wraithknight for my craftworld Nemirath... And the flyer looks pretty cool too, a more angular Razorwing from what I can tell from the tiny picture. That's two models I'm anxious of getting, and we haven't seen what else is there. This release will ruin my wallet, that's for sure. | |

Eldar Knights are a throwback to the old knight titans (way back in the early 90's) Background: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Eldar_Knight#.UZmwHKNqEf4 Yes, I have been following this hobby for too long

| i've already put $200 into store credit at my FLGS for the upcoming release. considering the new codices are hardback now and cost around $50, that means i'll barely have enough to get the codex and 1 each of the new Wraithknight and flyer. gonna have to come up with some more cash to get the new plastic wraithguards and warp spiders. - Quote :

wouldn't be the first time that GW has whipped it out and stomped on it, and won't be the last either. - Quote :

it's not, it's another aspect of GW's racial prejudice against anything non-imperium that every thing alien is referenced by the names that the inperium gives them. although to be honest it is easier to say WraithLord than it is to say Tuisich-Carre, which is the Eldar term for one. i don't have a BRB in front of me as mine's currently in storage, so can anyone tell me what the dif is between Rending, Fleshbane, and Shred, as Shred seems to be what a lot of peeps on Warseer think will be the new rule for Shuriken weapons. also the first link above that shows the new flyer seems to be working again, or at least it finally did for me.

also the first link above that shows the new flyer seems to be working again, or at least it finally did for me. Fleshbane: wound toughness targets on 2+ regardless of toughness. Rending: wounding rolls of 6 count as AP2 vs toughness targets and gain +D3 penetration vs armour targets Shred: reroll failed to-wound dice

Rending: wounding rolls of 6 count as AP2 vs toughness targets and gain +D3 penetration vs armour targets Shred: reroll failed to-wound dice thnx, out of those three rules, Shred and Rending would make the most sense for Shuriken weapons, but i think Shred is the better fitting rule overall. on a side note, i was looking at an increased view of the WraithKnight, and wondered if anyone else noticed the two shoulder mounted Scatter Lasers? also i think i've got the text down that's all blurry off to one side: (this may not be accurate due to the blurriness but it's what i believe it says) 1) The WraithKnight can be (equipped?) with a massive GhostGlaive - a lavish gem encrusted weapon as long as a tank. 2) Upon it's back the Wraithknight is adorned with a series of warp vanes that help to power it's considerable bulk. 3) This intricate set of interlocking plates is a Scattershield, a potent device that projects a powerful forcefield.
