Just checked the online stores for UK, US, Canada and Australia, and not surprisingly the current Wracks and Haemonculus have been removed from sale.
AND, so has the Succubus! .... What's happening with this, any thoughts on the missing Succubus? I'm not even sure how long she has been unavailable? The Wracks and Haemies were obviously removed to be replaced by the new versions, so the Succubus may be in for some kind of makeover/combo kit as well?

| There were rumours of female archon, so I guess its a succubus.
BTW does anyone have any confirmation as to the Power Mauls on Wracks? I have seen the picture with the wrack who seems to be holding one, but... still unconvinced. :-)

There's a photo of one that is pretty clearly holding a power maul, though the original Finecast kit also had a power maul in it too. The new one looks identical aside from the arm. This... means a NO on the PwrMaul for me.

| Does it`s relay matter? Poison weapons for wracks seems fine too me (i never trying to put them in the hell of close combat battle anyway). Besides, there is only one power maul in the box, so who cares if u cannot equip all models with it?
But i must say, i like the possibility to take more options per squad (no matter what). Hope others units (HQ or not) also will get some new options.

| The white dwarf article specifically lists "studded maces" and "power mauls" as options for wracks. So that's confirmed.
When the article (rhetorically) asks what weapon you will equip your acothyst with it does not mention the liq, hex rifle or ossefactor, though it is only listing melee options. That said it does not list power maul so it doesn't appear to be a sergeant upgrade.

P.S. (don`t stop) Any spare hearts in your torture chamber? @topic: I'm eager to see the special one per army artifacts. Hoping for some cool long range trickster thingie for my archon. Or some mean anti psyker gimmicks...

- I find Cruddace an okay author. Frankly, with Ward's removal, I'm reasonably emotionally comfortable with all of the current authors. We'll probably get okay fluff and stand a decent random chance of not having derp rules. But even Kelly has shown the ability to flub up rules - I really think that aspect is total die roll of chance regardless of primary author.
I mean, even the current Dex, which I think is good. Has a bomber that's a fighter, a fighter that's a bomber, some really bad point total logistics for multiple weapons and upgrades, and the joy that is the ultimate wych who can't duel, the ultimate headhunter who can't headhunt, and the shadowy super assassins who can't do anything. YA but then again look at the Chaos Space Marine and Chaos Daemons Codex. Those were really well written and the rules were really balanced and made sense. Plus Phil Kelly created our 5th edition codex. If he can write an awesome 5th edition codex, I want him to write our 7th edition codex. Phil is a fluffy writer and that's what I like in a codex.

| As for the new Ossefactor: WD describes it as a gun that rapidly increases bone growth in a victim, going so far as to spike fellow combatants onto those bones. That could mean a small blast (doubtful), or something along the lines of the Necron Tesla guns and its chances of arcing. | |

That could mean a small blast (doubtful), or something along the lines of the Necron Tesla guns and its chances of arcing. I'm thinking it's going to cause additional wounds or instant death. That sounds more like a ranged flesh gauntlet.

| It's pretty clear that it'd kill the victim. Based on the fluff, I'm guessing it does a S something hit to all models within X" after inflicting a casualty rather than an unsaved wound. | |

| As someone said before, it reminds of stinger pistol from the 3rd codex. I'd be good to have some of those funny toys from the past back again, and make DE dedicated psyker-killer. I really, and deeply hope that this new dex will spread despair and woe in the hearts of our opponents, and make them surrender on a roll of 1+ at the start of the game TBH, I don't think this codex will be streamlined and made plain, after all We ARE the TRUE evil.

This is the crucial thing: "the original Finecast kit also had a power maul in it too". So its appearance in the new kit does not mean anything. We had it before and did not have the option for PwrMaul. I have no reason to expect a change there. :-)

| More rules that I've picked up from titbits throughout the WD: No anti-armour potential Short range weapons Continuing to have poisoned CC weapons T4 with Feel No Pain
Given that it references stuff like the Ossefactor, I expect these things will all hold true for the incoming book.
Also, mentions access to 'weapons such as the liquifier gun and ossefactor' and that even your best armoured warriors will suffer a gruesome death to them... that suggests to me that the ossefactor probably has a low AP value,

And its probably somethins S5 AP4, and range 12 Probably. Then it would be a perfect match for Mr. Shredder. They can sit on the shelf together, admiring each other's dust collections. Maybe talk about their neigbours - Dr. Flesh Gauntlet and his lovely wife Mrs. Mindphase Gauntlet. Or perhaps mention the latest gossip of Professor Electrocorrosive Whip, and his feisty mistress Animus Vitae. Sorry, lost my train of thought.

| I read it as either the pain tokens work similarly to now (i.e. Wracks start with 'em, level 1 is a pain token), or Wracks just have blanket FnP. I'd be inclined towards the latter. | |
