| BoLS is also basically saying that the dark eldar codex is going to be trash teir with only a couple of good units ... And those will only be taken as part of a Ynnari army ... Sooooo ... | |

Daaaaaaaaamn. That just seems like salt rather than informed discussion, but still.

| I wouldn't believe anything on BoL's, they described Custodes as a glass hammer! | |

| And they also believe that T'au are the only army without psychic defence. I used to think people were joking when they said they knew very little about most armies but it just shows more with each article | |

| I fought custodes today. Invuls. Invuls everywhere! A glass hammer?! They were more like running headlong into a brick wall. | |

This. They really have no idea what they are talking about.

| Aren't they, like, the exact opposite of a glass hammer? From what I've seen, they're just about the most fire resistant army available, but struggle at maintaining a good volume of fire due to model count.
BOLS really doesn't know what they're talking about.
Further, anyone with actual insider knowledge of GW's release schedule would be wrapped in so many NDA's they couldn't legally say a single negative thing about the codex, much less whine about how truly abysmal it will be

Yeah i bought 6 boxes......... 3x2 and 1x5 bikes, 2 Shield Captains on bikes and 2 Praetors to give it all -1 to hit for almost all game. They are not glass at all.... 2+/4++ -1 to hit, T6... really? glass? LOL PS: I also have 2 Culexus Assassins

| If custodes are the staple for "glass Cannon" then I have the most rediculously high expectations for our army now ... We are the epitomy of glass Cannon (or should be) so I'm expecting 1+, 3++ saves on our vehicles and t12 for venoms ... | |

We faced Cutodes as well oad. Managed to bring them down to two men left but yeah they hit like a ton of bricks aye. They drew a lot of our firepower that's for sure. Still had the other opponents Iron Hands to take care of as well...

| I think the point BOLS made about Custodes being glass hammers was because while they do hit hard, they seriously lack numbers and with each casualty their hit gets weaker quite quickly.
We are glass hammers because we also hit hard but we are easy to kill. Either way the main point is that after taking heavy damage early on we are potentially out the game much like the Custodes would be.
I do kinda see their point.
You could probably add Death Watch to the list of glass hammer armies for a similar reason to Custodes.

| The most Glass Hammer elite army for me is Grey Knights. I've never seen such low-numbers per points, but such high damager per numbers. | |

| This guy had 12 models in his list, 1k. The army wide access to a decent invul' of 4++ is what makes it even harder. I think GK's can still get that through psychic. Though I've not faced GK's yet so I couldn't compare.
If the Custodes manage to get enough DS's, go first and a great turn 1 in terms of kills/ locking up certain units and such then after that it will be an uphill battle. I can imagine it being similar with GK's. But with their drops being so low in count for obvious reasons they are most likely to go first.
I think if people get turn 1 against either Custode's or GK's and cause enough damage it could certainly make things easier after they start DS' left, right and centre.
They're yet to get an FAQ. But I can't think of anything that would need changing. The army is just what it is it seems.

| IDK if they will get FAQ honestly, they are very streamline and efficient, but nothing broken, they have major counters against them and as a army they honestly are not very good. They seem very good, but just like Necrons when 8th 1st drop, you will see the large holes soon enough.
I've been working with them lately (I love the Bikes) my list for them is only 1400pts (and 600pts of SM to give me +3CP and a few bodies to old objectives) and 2 Celuxus Assassins (VERY IMPORTANT)
My basic Custode list is (1366pts)
2 Shield Captains on Bikes (1 Relic Bike) 9 Bikes Praetor Praetor with special armor
And i'll tell you, they are strong AF but... weak also, powers kill them, things like Smite and Jinx are their bane, yes they get a 6+++ against smite but really... thats nothing.

LOL they faq it already, mostly clarifying stratagems. Pretty sure GW are aiming to have an FAQ out for every Codex a couple of weeks after release, so that fits here.

Same, if you’re presenting information in an official capacity, then any visual tools you employ need to be as accurate as possible.
