| It is a 1/2 box of junk for sure, but i rather pay 1/2 the cost of junk right now and when it becomes playable i a year or 2 i have it ready.
And if it wasnt for MASSIVE Str and 2D weapons Vypers would actually be very good.
Im more mad that they get a Falcon that can TRANSPORT the 5man + HQ

Or tweaked Incubi so you can take them below a unit of 5.

| Why would they bother?
The rules aren't even out yet and already people are queuing up to buy the box.

| It would be really stupid to include a vehicle that can carry 5 models in a set with 6 models to carry but then again we have our start collecting box | |

| I can't help but notice that Craftworlders are getting some subfaction abilities, plus a whole new psychic discipline, plus powers for all of their Exarchs. Meanwhile, Dark Eldar are getting some subfaction abilities and . . . that's it. Boy, this is sure looking like a well-balanced release. | |

| Eh. Craftworlds need new rules more than we do, and it looks like we're getting three times as many subfaction traits as they are anyways. We'll need to see what's inside the book before making judgements about whether it favours one side or the other. | |

I just want to mix factions within our own book again, if we get a trait that lets us dot hat i'll be happy (unless its terrible trait like the Ynnari one), but i would still play it.

Boy, this is sure looking like a well-balanced release. And new units rewrites. We could have more than just Drazar and Incubi. Possibly not, but I can dream. Haha! And having chapter tactics for Kabal, Cult and Coven is pretty dope. I am incredibly excited. And Craftworlds getting new exarch powers is really nice as they feel underwhelming and unimaginative to me right now. So something new would be cool. I'm not going to complain about getting a bunch of new rules. Especially customizable ones. Stoked!!!

| Has anyone had any success with hellion's? (even just in causal games) they just seem so bad every time i use them. but at least they look good.
I get the feeling there will be a tonne going for dirt cheap once this box lands, might be time for me to swipe a few up and hope they become good at some point.

In old ynnari, yes, they had 1 good build, 20 hidding in a magic box with double move power and double melee stratagem. Now they are completely garbage.

Cheaper and faster. | |

| Ynnari hellions can get a 5++ and reroll wounds pretty easily which helps, and fighting first also helps when you're stuck until your turn in combat, but I've yet to try them. Their d2 ap0 weapon isn't very good except against niche opponents with only an invuln or no save plus multiple wounds. (Grotesques, swarms, mid sized daemons, harlie bikes, etc)
Reavers are faster, tougher and more versatile, even if math hammer says they output less damage.

| Well, hopefully Hellions will get a point decrease by CA 2019. Otherwise, they're just too expensive for what they do. | |

| The problem is they are a victim of rules bloat. With shooting and melee, with 2D weapons, and everything Wyches have, along with Hit and Run, Fly, long movement, etc...
Their stats dont make up for their rules b.c in 8th all those rules are almost pointless, in 5th sure they be great, but in 8th? Nope. I would only take them if they became 10pts, but at that point they are cheap enough to take in small 5 mans for disruption units that dont need a transport and will out Drugs for Wyches. 3x15 with 1 succubus for a Outrider is only 200pts now.
And yet they still wont be that good, b.c T3 1 wound guys in the open suck. Thats the problem with 8th tho.

basically my experience... id set them up out of LOS turn one and all it means is they will all die to indirect fire turn 2.... I've even lost a squad of 10 of them to a 5 man primis unit that they charged after they were interrupted and punched in the face with nothing but fists. Any one have any guesses on what our DIY Kabal's might look like? I love the idea of being able to have flayed skull venom's with the re-roll 1 to wound of poison tongue. If i can keep a hold of to Agents of Vect then my local game group is going to be crap themselves over this
