Yep, seems that Kabals are more tricky than others. For example, all your veichles can now fall back, shoot, and charge again. Useful for silencing/blocking non-fly units.


Or the double webway portal+neraly-fearless Ossession. Deepstrike 20x4 Kabals nearly immune to morale checks.

i think the double webway will go well with drazhar and incubi... since venoms are still 5 capacity its the most reliable way to get them to the enemy

Nice to hear that the Ynnari characters are more reasonably costed.

I have to say though, I can't help but be disappointed when I see that Eldar not only get custom army traits but also a whole new psychic discipline and several pages of Exarch powers. Meanwhile, we get the custom obsessions and that's it.

Would it really have killed them to give us something to go with them? As Burnage mentioned, using these cuts us off from all but the basic Stratagems, Warlord Traits and Artefacts. Hence, it seems like they could have given us some extras of those - especially the first two.

Yeah, there seems to be this weird push towards melee Kabal.

It seems like it would make more sense if Incubi were in Kabal. Or if the Court of the Archon wasn't ludicrously restricted.

I still prefer the Raider. I don't really like charging at 9".

Btw, Coven now have a +1" to charge so you can try some Portal trick with them. I'll definitely do.

I can actually see some interesting builds for Craftworlds that I want to try - a psychic heavy army focused on being immune to double 1s on psychic tests, with a free 5+++ save against mortal wounds, using the new psychic discipline to give a huge unit of Warlock Skyrunners +2 damage per attack in combat. That's some nasty crap, potentially. With just Jinx and Enhance it'll be one-shotting a Knight.

Yeah, this release definitely seems more interesting for the Craftworlders.

I'm curious about the new Exarch ability for Dire Avengers that gives them +1 to hit and +1 to wound if they've lost any models.

Also, not competitive but I like the power that gives the Warp Spider Exarch +1S and +1D with his Powerblades. Seems like it could be quite fun in a themed list.

Thinking about it, the full Ynnari Triumvirate in a supreme command detachment for only 475 points is a hell of a lot of bang for your buck.

yeah the yncarne at 280 will probably be a staple in my lists... i love his abilities and i used him ALOT even at 330 now im gonna have some fun teleporting all over the place and my friends are gonna hate me ^_^

Very nice to see that Ynnarri at least got a well deserved pts reduction.

Very happy with the wych cult/coven traits, there are some very fun and thematic choices. Kabals less so, GW still hasn't got the message that Kabals have no melee units besides the archon. Instead of the fall back and charge trait for example, be really nice to have fall back and shoot. The one thing I will say about kabals if you're bored of venom spam and want to run foot kabalites, it's definetly possible if you combine webway raiders and the moral trait.

Yeah I don't really get why GW always forgot that the Court still 1 model.per unit. I don't ask much, just let it be 1 unit of 4 models at least. 1 Archon=1 unit of 4 models.

I think its like Lawrence and Chef said in their vid on TTT, this is the same sort of soft reboot for our codices before the big re release. The same happened with the vigilus books and the space marine codex

Video reviews mention them all, there's 6 powers for each aspect warrior unit so quite a lot. Not sure if they make Banshees usable though, I don't have a Craftworld army so my knowledge of their stuff is a bit limited.

Sure thing. I actually think Craftworld players have more to be excited about than Drukhari players, loads of new options for aspect warriors, nice new lore to use, and there's no doubt that some of the custom traits are better than the codex craftworld options. Tempts me to start craftworlds, but I'm still content with some of the options Drukhari got.

I dunno man I'm pretty excited for cheaper Ynnari chars and better incubi/drazhar. I've been using incubi in my not so competitive lists for a while now (couldn't stomach paying for old drazhar though) so having them a bit stronger is cool. I definitely think we came out of this with the better character and elite choice, even if we didnt get the plethora of new rules CWE did.
