| Guess Ill add mine
The first one is going to be hard fight, but my guess would be the Librarian. If he can get into close combat, he should win.
Second fight, Warboss his going to ID some poor company's captain...
Librarian and Warboss are my choices

| I barely missed the last vote.
I'd go for Illuminor for his spider legs and ranged ID and then the Warboss

| Illuminor Serzeras Warboss
As above really, the Warboss has much more kit and survivabillity at his disposal and still only needs one lucky hit to down the Captain.
As for the Illuminor, well he's too close to an augmetic Haemonculus not to get my vote. The ranged instant death seems like a reasonable option and if it comes down to a brawl, yes he'll die, but I'm expecting him to get back up enough times to deal with the Librarian eventually.

| Greetings gentle beings! It is I, Por'el Sa'cea Leo'lan Jhin, and now we are entering battle as the glory of the Space Marines will- Be crushed unda the power of da WAAAAAAAAGH!!Well, yes, but- WAAAAAAAAGH!!!No, you see, what I mean is- WAAAAAAAAGH!!!... ...... ...Are you- WAAAAAAAAGH!!!As much as you being proven to be a pansy is, let's get onto the fights.WAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!I am continually surprised you're not listed in Codex: OrksI'm now an acceptable ally.As though that chart makes any sense.Blood Angels can team up with Necrons...JUST LIKE IN THE FLUFF!WAAAAAAAAGH!!!WAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!I'm officialy rooting for the Mon'keigh now.================================================================================= Librarian versus Illuminor Szeras Both of them step out onto the red sands, where already many great warriors have fallen. The Librarian is reading from a book to limber up his mind, and Illuminor Szeras is wearing his 'I <3 Blood Angelz' T-shirt. JUST LIKE IN THE FLUFF!Come on metal thing that apparently can feel pain now despite having no soul so we Dark Eldar can still totally kill you for yucks and to feed She-Who-Thirsts!Librarian rolls a 6 (10) for initiative, and Illuminor rolls a 4 (6)] Turn 1 - Long RangeThe Librarian is ready, he knows this will be a pivotal round for him, he's already looking for some good cover. The proper term is 'being a wuss'.[Illuminor fires...5 to hit, HIT!. He rolls to wound, and rolls another 5, currently the Librarian is facing instant death. The moment of truth is the cover save roll...2...] What is this gak!?!Bwa-hahahaha, Dakka-dakka-dakka!Indeed, the fight is over before it has begun, a pile of cinders is all that remains as Illuminor Szeras goes over and bro-fists Commander Dante- JUST LIKE IN-You do realize that joke was stale the first time you did it.Every joke you do is about sex and pain. That's not true, I also...sometimes...when...I loathe you.Hur, hur, hur.Illuminor Szeras Wins! ================================================================================= Space marine Captain vs. Ork Warboss The crowd is chanting for the Warboss as he takes the field, waving his power klaw to the masses. The Space Marine Captain is receiving rather less attention. Whot does he expect? Bringin' a toothpick to a klaw fight!?!He's cuter though.Presuming he has a package.Wait...that's a question? The fluff is very vague about it.But there are Marines in service to Slaanesh. The fluff is VERY vague about it.But you could always look and-I'm not sure I want to know if things don't go the way I would want them to go.... ...Just sayin'The fluff isn't vague about da Orks packages! We iz fungus, bwa-hahahaha!Oh, look, (thank gawd) the fight is starting! [Initiative rolls - The Captain rolls a 6, and the Warboss a 4 - big surprise, the Warboss will be dead last.] Turn 1 - Long RangeThe Space Marine Captain only has a pistol, so he is charging forward, but the Warboss is raising his combi-shoota and laughing as he lights the wick of a...rocket? Oh sweet mercy! Aim for the stands, aim for the stands! You just want more bloodshed? Nah, he is certain the Ork will miss, so if he aims where he doesn't want to hit...[The Warboss rolls a 3, and his shot goes arcing off into the crowds] Turn 2 - Short Range[The Warboss activates The Waaagh! and chooses to move immediatly into assault] Dat's how real Orks fight! So much cooler than Tau...sucky, sucky Tau.Hey! Yeah, that is *totally* not true.Yeah! Those fish-heads can't figure out how to suck to save their lives...literally.Whoa! Family programing! In Commoragh? That's kinda stupid.Just like the Tau.Assault! The Space marine Captian seemed to be ready for this, and raises his chainsword high... [5 attacks needing a 3 to hit...6,5,6,1,3 4 hits, needing a 5 to wound...3,6,6,2 2 Wounds, the Warboss has a 4+ save...4, 2] In a mad flurry of blows, the Captain dances around his foe, expertly feinting, countering, and lashing out with battle skills mastered over the centuries. He manages to score a telling wound on the Warboss' side, driving his blade deep. He shouldn' ought ta have done dat, now da Boss is mad.WAAAAAAAAAAAGH!WAAAAAAAAAAAGH!WAAAAAAAAAAAGH!Waagh. .........I just wanted to belong... You are a git.Um, look, the Boss is swinging back! [5 attacks, needing 4+...2,5,1,5,2 2 hits needing 2+...2,2 2 wounds, needing a 4+ save from the Halo...1,2] And...oh...oh my, that is very inappropriate. We callz dat da 'One fingered salute...in der bum!Lulz!Warboss Wins! A series of brutal matchups, that ended in dramatic fashion via instant death - a common trend in these matches. I'm honestly a little surprised that the 'Cron pulled it out, he'll have a hard time of it in later rounds though, if it gets into hand to hand combat, and since he won't be able to instant death the Warboss next round....I am predicting the Boss takes the whole thing, he is too big to lose.Dis guy talks a lotta sense!Tune in tomorrow for our next fight preview - as we discuss the pro and cons, and see who else will join these noble warriors in the Elite Eight. | |

| Ha! Illuminor zapped poor Librarian into a pile of ash like I thought he would. And Warboss krumped the Captain good. Great stuff, I really started to miss the Dark Olympiad. Kharn makes everything better, he's quite a guy. | |

| Greetings gentle beings! It is I, Por'el Sa'cea Leo'lan Jhin, ready to once again bring you exciting news from the arena floor of the Dark Olympiad. With my lovely co-hosts, Lelith Hesperax! My underwear is made from only the finest silk...too bad I'll never wear it....and Kharn. Honestly, I always figured you were just wearing your underwear and no clothes on top of them.A common misconception, I would never own underwear this concealing.Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.Work safe posting! Only work safe material! Oh, I get it, decapitations are okay, but half naked Dark Elves being decapitated is uncool.Eldar. Dark Eldar.Oh, sure, I bet that fools everyone.Let's look at our matchups! ================================================================================= Colonel Iron-Hand Straken vs. Wolf PriestColonel Iron-Hand Straken Equipment loadout: Shotgun, Plasma Pistol, Flak Armor, Refractor Field, Frag Grenades, CCW Total Cost: 95 Points Notable Traits: Fearless, Counter Attack, Furious Charge, Ignores armor saves in h2h Current Record: 0-0 Favorite Things: Getting stuck in, Strangling Chaos Lords, Balls of Steel. Colonel Iron Hand Straken, their only close combat HQ Ignoring Yarrick....do you always have to try to cut me down? It's in my contract.Wait, seriously? I think it was in mine too, but I signed the contract by bathing it in the blood of all the lawyers there so I didn't have a lot of time to try to absorb the fine print. It actually wasn't written all that small.I'll be honest, I may have just entered the room and started to kill lawyers and came up with the "signing" thing later. I was kinda drunk at the time.Drunk on what? The blood of the receptionists.Nice!Okay, let's get back to what matters and stop giving me very clear and depressing images of what all those grieving widows and husbands back home really had their loved ones die for- BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!Straken is a deadly threat in hand to hand combat, high strength, the ability to saw past armor saves, and a nice pile of attacks. He'll even do okay in shooting, that plasma pistol is nothing to sneeze at. Really, he's looking good because he's a very solid all-around combatantHe does lack in the long range category though, which may hurt him, though perhaps not in this battle. Wolf Priest Equipment loadout: Crozius Arcanum, Bolt Pistol, Wolf Amulet Total Cost: 100 Points Notable Traits: Anger, Wussed out Crozius, More Anger. Current Record: 1-0 Favorite Things: Anger, Litany of Hate, Hateful Anger, Angry Hate, Anger, Wolf Puppies (they are soooo cute!). *cough*deadwolfwalking*cough*I see what you did there. The Wolf Priest is struggling a bit, his Crozius can not penetrate Straken's armored hide, while Straken will force the Wolf Priest to stick to invulnerable saves. This is like sending me in to fight a Tau...army.Well...wait, what? A landslide of awesome bloodshed is predicted!I begin to think that cultural exchange with the forces of Chaos may be unwise. Except for maybe those nice Tzeentch fellows. Trolololol! In conclusionPredictions? Straken, he has advantages in both shooting and assault, and should easily overwhelm the Wolf Boy.Wolf, wolf, wolf! I really don't care though, one way or another at least there will be one less Imperium Pansy in the mix, how many of these feebs are there?Only 8 of 20 entrants - in some other weight divisions the spread may be even more one sided. Just wait for the super heavies - then it will be pure Chaos, bay-bee!Egads! No pelvic thrusting, I still don't know if there's anything there to be creeped out by or not!The mystery is half the fun, the other half is decapitation!...and in the other match... ================================================================================= Ork Big Mek vs. Emperor's Champion This should be a very interesting matchup, because with the previous matchup- You saw but a preview of continued Orkish dominationz!!Big Boss Badnabz? What are you doing here? I'm 'ere ta explain exactly how da Big Mek is gonna stomp da beakie boy in da face! But you were only a one time guest host... Wotcher?I'm afraid you have to leave. I am sorry, I couldn' hear ya clearly, lean in on me power klaw side and whisper it in me ear?...we look forward to your insight. WAAAAAAAAAAAGH!Big Mek Equipment loadout: Mega Armor, Power Klaw. Total Cost: 100 Points Notable Traits: WAAAAAAAGH! Current Record: 0-0 Favorite Things: Fightin', Lootin', Stompin'' WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!! Orks, Orks, Orks!Seriously? He's got a power klaw, and mega-armor, and...and he's REALLY BIG!I forgot Big Mek's could wear Mega-Armor...that could actually be kinda a problem for the Emperor's Wuss.Yeah, with the new way saves work, that's a solid 2+ versus the Champion, and he's going to be coming in with big and hefty instant death klaw strikes. The Big Mek also has a shooting attack. .........What now? You are *such* a Tau.Thank you. The Emperor's Champion Equipment loadout: Black Sword, Armor of Faith, Uphold the Honor of the Emperor Total Cost: 100 Points Notable Traits: Like an Imperial Fist - only more serious and even more angry. Current Record: 0-0 Favorite Things: Crusading. This is still not a light-weight to overlook, the Emperor's Champion is a machine of war.WAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!Kharn agrees. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!Still, with a decent number of attacks, good weapon skill, and high strength, he may just overwhelm the Mek before the Klaw manages to make a mark. I agree, there is more to battle than Praying for Instant Death like Sonny Chiba - there is still skill and talent involved, and the Emperor's Champ has that in spades.Only if he can get through da armor, and it's really, really thick'!In conclusionI say Emperor's Champ wins this.Me too, and you guys? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!Well, that sums it up... | |

| The first fight goes to Straken, no doubt about it. The guy has balls of steel and will rip and tear the priest apart. My IG-playing friend uses Straken and I've seem him kick the asses of Greater Daemons in close combat (including one of the FW huge Daemon Lords).
The second fight is a bit more difficult, but I think the BT weapon is only ap3. He has a hard time wounding the Mek and needs multiple wounds to kill him. the Mek migth ahve less atatcks and worse ws, but the BT has worse saves and only needs to fail once. So I'm voting for Big Mek.

Big Mek Not just cause of my Avatar this time, but the math. 12 hits to make him fail 2 saves and die. Thats at least the 2nd round of CC, One fail for the champ and hes pulp.

| Straken ... he likes to kick ass and chew bubble gun and he is all out of gum... If the champion just keeps running away and throwing frag grenades (big mech can't run) I'm sure he will do fine! Funny the only vow he could take is the one that means he can't use cover! And he doesn't have an invulnerable save from shooting... Even if he makes it through this round he won't last long. Big Mek It's the sensible choice. | |

| Iron Hand Straken - even though he pulled my first Succubus in half
Big Mek - If the Champion does start throwing grenades the Big Mek can shoot back, and yeah a single instant death hit tends to have done the job well so far.
