The first one is going to be hard fight, but my guess would be the Librarian. If he can get into close combat, he should win.

Second fight, Warboss his going to ID some poor company's captain...

As above really, the Warboss has much more kit and survivabillity at his disposal and still only needs one lucky hit to down the Captain.

As for the Illuminor, well he's too close to an augmetic Haemonculus not to get my vote. The ranged instant death seems like a reasonable option and if it comes down to a brawl, yes he'll die, but I'm expecting him to get back up enough times to deal with the Librarian eventually.

I'm currently swamped a bit in work - the results will go up on Sunday though, as I get that day off.

Now thats a real fun, WH 40K Deathmatch Now i see you are the bookmaker yourself, so my question is how to get in ?, if there is such thing possible, also would anyone try stopmotion ?

A series of brutal matchups, that ended in dramatic fashion via instant death - a common trend in these matches.

I'm honestly a little surprised that the 'Cron pulled it out, he'll have a hard time of it in later rounds though, if it gets into hand to hand combat, and since he won't be able to instant death the Warboss next round....

I am predicting the Boss takes the whole thing, he is too big to lose.

Ha! Illuminor zapped poor Librarian into a pile of ash like I thought he would. And Warboss krumped the Captain good. Great stuff, I really started to miss the Dark Olympiad. Kharn makes everything better, he's quite a guy.

Straken is a deadly threat in hand to hand combat, high strength, the ability to saw past armor saves, and a nice pile of attacks.

He'll even do okay in shooting, that plasma pistol is nothing to sneeze at. Really, he's looking good because he's a very solid all-around combatant

He does lack in the long range category though, which may hurt him, though perhaps not in this battle.

The Wolf Priest is struggling a bit, his Crozius can not penetrate Straken's armored hide, while Straken will force the Wolf Priest to stick to invulnerable saves.

This is like sending me in to fight a Tau...army.

Straken, he has advantages in both shooting and assault, and should easily overwhelm the Wolf Boy.

I forgot Big Mek's could wear Mega-Armor...that could actually be kinda a problem for the Emperor's Wuss.

Yeah, with the new way saves work, that's a solid 2+ versus the Champion, and he's going to be coming in with big and hefty instant death klaw strikes.

The Big Mek also has a shooting attack.

This is still not a light-weight to overlook, the Emperor's Champion is a machine of war.

Still, with a decent number of attacks, good weapon skill, and high strength, he may just overwhelm the Mek before the Klaw manages to make a mark.

I agree, there is more to battle than Praying for Instant Death like Sonny Chiba - there is still skill and talent involved, and the Emperor's Champ has that in spades.

Only if he can get through da armor, and it's really, really thick'!

In conclusion

I say Emperor's Champ wins this.

Well, that sums it up...

The first fight goes to Straken, no doubt about it. The guy has balls of steel and will rip and tear the priest apart. My IG-playing friend uses Straken and I've seem him kick the asses of Greater Daemons in close combat (including one of the FW huge Daemon Lords).

The second fight is a bit more difficult, but I think the BT weapon is only ap3. He has a hard time wounding the Mek and needs multiple wounds to kill him. the Mek migth ahve less atatcks and worse ws, but the BT has worse saves and only needs to fail once. So I'm voting for Big Mek.

i so hate Stroken but i think he wins that one.

Straken, Ive actually seen him own the dreaded GK.

Big Mek Not just cause of my Avatar this time, but the math. 12 hits to make him fail 2 saves and die. Thats at least the 2nd round of CC, One fail for the champ and hes pulp.

Straken ... he likes to kick ass and chew bubble gun and he is all out of gum...

If the champion just keeps running away and throwing frag grenades (big mech can't run) I'm sure he will do fine! Funny the only vow he could take is the one that means he can't use cover! And he doesn't have an invulnerable save from shooting... Even if he makes it through this round he won't last long.

Big Mek It's the sensible choice.

Hopefully not too late for me to join in...

I'm gonna go with Straken in the first and the Big Mek to bring it home in the second.

Iron Hand Straken - even though he pulled my first Succubus in half

Big Mek - If the Champion does start throwing grenades the Big Mek can shoot back, and yeah a single instant death hit tends to have done the job well so far.
