Surely you jest, sir? Have you not been dazzled by GW's flawless marketing practise of telling their customers bugger-all and expecting them to get hyped anyway? Why, I'm sure that their getting your hopes up over a new codex, only to let you down two weeks in a row, has only made you more hyped for the release... which I'm sure will be announced any week now.

I'm a compulsive buyer, rather than a rationnal one. I get high hypes, but have no patience when on this hype. Yeah, it's probably ranting more than anything else. Probably I'll get hyped again when we'll finally get the codex. I just don't get GW marketing.

| Possibly interesting that today's preview for the Daughters of Khaine suggests that they get their own version of Power From Pain, alongside a 6+++ save that's distinct from that; - Quote :
- Get to round 5 or higher, and your army will be re-rolling 1s to run, charge, hit, wound AND save – and they’ll ignore battleshock to boot!
I wonder if there's a chance that Power from Pain will be changed to something similar to that.

| Eh whoever is next doesn't concern me a whole lot. The announcement at LVO meant that at least our release is not too far down the line. If they do necrons and tau first not great, but not the end of the world. We'll be out by May at the latest anyway. | |

| The rumors come from someone with insider information and who claims to have seen the Tau codex first hand. Hes a forum member of pretty decent repute but He's also a lot looser lipped than our resident Evil space elf. The rumors about upcoming Tau codex don't prove they're next- Haechi's track record for "predictions" are his biggest asset, and so far he's been pretty correct. Possibly he was wrong about the DoK release? Regardless, we still know nothing, but my pessimism grows daily.

| are they implying 6 weeks of waiting? I thought it was just a reference to groundhog's day here in America. (for anyone that hasn't watched that movie. I encourage you to do so.) | |

| To me seemed like a very specific time scale and I thought they were implying 6 weeks of waiting (that as explained in my previous post seems he highly possible), but I’m not american and I don’t even know what groundhog’s day is, so maybe I was just fantasizing too much. | |

| As an Aussie, I've never actually watched Groundhog day, though I have heard of it.
As I understand, it's a Sandler film??? Bill Murray film In which the lead male falls in love with the lead female, gets to know her a little, falls asleep at the end of the day and... wakes up on the same morning.
The lead male loops the same day over and over and over, attempting to get into the pants of the lead female in what is meant to be a romance.
In this case, and most cases where it is used as an in-joke, 'Groundhog day' means a period of time in which the same or extremely similar problem / problems / series of events continue to arise without ever being concluded and lacking in any significant change to the involved individuals approach to solving said problems.
Our circuitous discussions of the 'impending' codex, for example.

| For those unfamiliar with American folkloric traditions, this is about Groundhog Day (the holiday, not the movie). There's an actual groundhog, named Punxsutawney Phil. If, during the ceremony, Phil emerges from his burrow (in Pennsylvania) and sees his shadow, it's supposed to indicate 6 more weeks of winter. There's a bit more to it than that, and it only gets weirder, but that's the most important bit. I don't think they're saying it will specifically be 6 weeks til codex. I think they're just making a joke about players poking their heads up because of the announcement, not getting anything else, and then going back to sleep for several more weeks. | |

| For anyone interested, I am sarcastically starting my own rumor:
We were meant to be next, but GW had to make an emergency sculpt of a half naked male slave to ride the Dais of Destruction after the Escher comments that were made.

| Only half? Boring lol.
I'll repeat what I said to my tau friend today.
Of course GW seems to have made the "next three codex's are xenos!" Announcement while drunk and are now desperately stalling to try to find an excuse to relesse more power armor first...

Conan style half naked, bracers and a man-thong. Probably trying to invent a whole chapter of Techmarines to go in the Imperial Knight codex so it consists of more than two model kits.

| Just to further delve into the repetition, the director of the movie is Jewish and the entire film has very strong ties to the Jewish perception of Purgatory.
The actor that plays Ned Ryerson (Stephen Tobolowsky), the annoying life insurance salesman who approached Phil Connors (Bill Murray) actually went on to tour the U.S. giving talks and presentations about what the movie meant, its references to the Old Testament and life lessons to be learned.
To come full circle (heh), we're repeatedly doing the same thing over and over again and the only people getting punished is ourselves. Ikol's on the money.

I'd say naked and a half. As in naked with half his skin flayed away. Pft... Naked men, what are we Slaaneshi? Anyway this week rumor looks T'au to me. So it probably is Necron with their boxed game, T'au and us. They are 4+ saves, they're closer to power armour than us.
