Today my Archon killed...

As i recall, soultraps works on killing MC and/or IC. It doesnt mean you cant kill one IC more times. Yay necron If it is her problem she gets up...well...roflstomp the opponent

Yes, and you'd be surprised how effective a str 10 archon can be when he assaults a pair of penitent engines...

Then again: if you trap her soul, she couldnt rise up again. If she does, then the trap may capture it again, for maybe she has sealed parts of her soul away...for safe keeping

Usually i'm ok with a str6 archon and his huskblade If you wield two special weapons, you have to decide, which weapons bonuses apply. An aggoniser for geting his str up on an ic, then huskblade for the rest of the army

Today Archon Yllithian killed a Saim-Hann Farseer and 3 members of his seer council, 4 pathfinders and 3 Dark reapers with his Incubi retinue accounting for the rest of those squads.

My archons latest kill is his own shadowfield, he was hitting himself with the djinblade, and failed the save. With led to his gruesome death in form of angry powerfist.

No need to apologize, other Archons would be expected to laugh at the others misfortunes - it would be a sign of weakness if you didn't.

Stupid Archon, never line up against mind-scarabs and if it was he that was charged then good riddance - the fittest shall survive.

The trick with Mindshackles is to make sure your archon is not in B2B with the guy carrying them, they only affect a model in B2B, and even if your archon was infected, he hits his unit, not himself. If you're playing dark Eldar you should be the ones doing the assaulting, not the Necrons so you should be able to pick who your archon fights most of the time.

Personally I hate fighting Necrons because T5 characters mean its very hard to get the first soul in my trap unless I roll the +1 str drug result.

Then equip your archon with Huskblade, Soultrap and Agoniser altogether. A little bit pricey, but the best way to ensure the first IC/MC kill. With S3 I tend to do near to nothing at all..

Unfortunately you would have to choose which to use each round out of the huskblade and agoniser. So you can either wound on a 4+ or inflict ID but not both.

I never said that you could use it at the same time I know the rules for different special CCW!!! So you get +1 attack for additional weapon, but you choose whether you want to wound on 4+ or cause ID. That's good enough IMO.

Today my Succubus killed,

Draigo, his Paladins, and a Predator. Take that Matt Ward.

MY haemon killed an AVATAR as well as shattersharding four out of five including farseer of a seer council unmounted before bounding off to spend the rest of the game slowly and gruesomly murdering a large unit of guardians.

Yesterday my archon killed 2 carnifexs and a hive tyrant!

7 guardsmen, with a plasma granaide

on sunday he killed 3 chaos marines with a plasma grenade, 3 chaos marines with his power axe and a chaos lord in a challenge (go go gadget power axe!!)
he also killed 4 tau firewarriors with a plasma grenade in another game :-)

I had my last surviving Reaver Jetbike with the combat drugs for the reroll to wound one, go toe to toe with swarmlord. The guy already finished losing his whole 10 brood of Genestealers to wyches and to lose Swarmlord to a single Reaver Jetbike was saddening. I had a big smile as I put the FNP token onto my guy hehe.

Side note; really saddened that you cannot put a Archon on jetbike or even have a Jetbike troop. Or even just a special character for the bikes.

My archon managed to kill a fully decked out SW squad (with the help of two Incubi, one of which wiffed and died first turn) and then moved on to kill a runepriest in TA with four or five wolfguard supporters!

Running a simple PW (axe), SF, CD, ST, PGL, and a blast Pistol just for fun.

It was my first 6th game, but i definitely liked being able to poke holes with the blast pistol before assaulting!

Today my archon killed

Tau Shas'o (tech it was his transport, but it counts since he was manning the gun)
Shas'o's bodyguard
12 Fire Warriors


Today my archon (and his unit) absorbed

roughly 800 pts of Tau shooting in one round before killing his venom
another 200 pts to kill 1 incubi
another 500 pts to kill the last 3
24 tau rail rifle shots inflicting no wounds on my Archon after my shadow field blew out the previous turn.

Today my Succubus killed

Ork Warboss iwith Power Klaw and Cybork Body
10 Ork Shoota Boyz

When ever im playing against a Matt Ward deathstar army where everythings got similar rules to Dark eldar but just that large amount better I make an effort to get my archon into combat with the biggest deathstar unit and soultrap/huskblade the hell out of them just to say "I've got 99 problems but Matt Ward ain't one"
Nothing as satisfying as marching up to a 10 man paladin squad and going, "oh you have initiative 6, 20 wounds and a 2+ armour save, well I have a glowing pyramid and an odd looking stick - and oh look i've won combat...

Archon Tava C'or armed with a blaster and huskblade,shadowfield, and soul trap managed to defeat HighMarshal Helbrecht of the Black Templar today, after only earlier defeating an Emperors Champion and absorbing there soul the dice gods really helped my shadowfield today...
