Today my Archon killed...

Yesterday my archon (Tava C'or) made a 50man squad of conscripts run and fail there fearless test I beleive it is? Sure they came back but by the time they were it was far to late for Chenkov

Today my Archon killed a Librarian in Terminator armor, and two TH/SS termies. Then he looked in the general direction of my friend's last tactical squad and he conceded.

Huskblade is back! And better than ever (kind of, I mean, everything else got relatively worse)!!

Today my archon killed Marneus Calgar ........that was sadly about it....

Ork Painboy on bike, Ork Warboss on Bike, and about 3 Nob Bikers.

Today my Hekatrix killed Captain Darnath Lysander, she held him up for 3 rounds of combat and finished him off on the 4th while my Archon who lost his shadow field to a blown up raider went to town on the terminators in the rest of his squad. Seeing my friend's face as a hekatrix took down the big HQ leading his death star unit of doom was absolutely priceless.

My first time using the Huskblade/Soul-Trap combo, and I loved it!

My Archon first killed a beefed upp Terminator Wolf Lord with TH/SS, then moved over to kill a Rune Priest and his 5 man Gray hunter unit and finally killing the last 5 Blood Claws that charged her^^

Played a game with my brother the week Necrons were re-released. Archon with agonizer lone charged Nemesor Zandrekh, Obyron and 20 Necron warriors. I focussed on the warriors,archon won combat and ran the unit and both characters down. All without his shadowfield failing!

this was from a while back playing the 5th ed broken alliance special mission.

A Haemie and his Acothyst buddy sniped Nemesor and Obie out of the same squad within two turns.

My opponent was unaware of hexrifles.

Let me tell you a story...

In a casual game against my friend recently (he was using my SoB army) we decided for the sake of cinematic awsomeness that the Cannoness (Beatrix, my faithful general for my many many years of SoB) would fight my newly aspiring Archon (Gahraktael - in the Eldar tongue it means 'laughing butcher') atop a landing pad that was the centre-piece for the board. Gahraktael thought that nothing would prove his escalation to power more convincingly than taking the head of a Cannoness that had been fighting the holy war since 3rd Edition!

We were using the old SoB rules (as I have yet to get the new ones, been to preoccupied with the DE) which allows (as long as the rest of the army can keep the faith points topped up and she can pass the required leadership tests) Beatrix to maintain a 2+ invulnverable save. On the other hand, Gahraktael had a somewhat more unreliable Shadowfield, though what played into his favour though was the Huskblade in his hand which would have ment that even 1 wound would have had Beatrix's dusty remains blowing off into the sunset.

They met in Turn 2, and by the end of a 6 turn game exactly 0 wounds had been inflicted. The armour of each Warrior held strong as a raging flurry of blade, fist and debris flew around them in an unending clash of two apparently unrelenting Heroes.

So, it might seem that the story ends as a bit of an anti-climax really... there was no apparent victor.

Or was there? In conclusion, I believe that It is infact I, the narrator of this tale, who is the victor! I apparently hold two apprently unscathable Heroes! (Sods law I used all the luck from both parties fighting myself and both will fold and break like wet paper from now on)

Archon killed Lysander. That is enough for me, damn eternal warriors... I am going to kill Calgar next rip his head out and pike it on trophy rack of my raider! I hate him and his cheesy statline. My Archon is only thing that makes my ultramarine friend claim its cheese.

Hello! first time posting here on the Dark City...great boards, have helped me out a quite a bit in my games.

Had to share my experience this past weekend with my Archon and a squad of Space Wolf Calvary.

My archon, equipped with Huskblade/soultrap combo and drugs, charged into a squad of Wolf Calvary with a Wolf Lord leading them on turn 2. I promptly offered a challenge to the wolf lord and my opponent accepted. With the Furious charge bonus I was able to actually get one wound through and slay the wolf lord and trap his soul into the Trap!

Now I have a str 6 AP2 walking death machine for the rest of the calvary....and over the course of the rest of the game...with all his attacks and ridiculous weapon skill...i only landed on average one hit per combat and only killed one more wolf (out of 3) for the remainder of the game.

just finished our campaign off, thought i would share.

my archon and his retinue of wyches, across 3 games yesterday, of which the squad of 10 including Hemo and archon, are responsible for the destruction of;
2 BA vindicators, a BA rhino, BA tactical squad with corbulo, with their raider being responsible for 5 terminators.

a forgefiend, chaos vindicator, 5 nurgle bikes and lord with black mace haha, 4 of 10 plague marines(it was all that was left) raider cleared a unit of havocs with help from a venom.

and most impressively, Nhal stormcaller and WG grave guard, a lone wolf tooled to the hilt, 10 GH, lasback, and finished with LF behind ADL with BL saga hunter.

Today my Archon (and four incubi) took around 40+ rounds from an enemy surrounding him, after being dumped out of his venom just a bit sooner then I would like. I looked up and warned him he was going to get slaughtered if he did it. He shot at me, Rapid fire with around 3 squads of 10 guardsmen, a heavy weapons team and the other player (his team mate) fired everything his war walker had my way too. ( Plus some other odd fire,) He didn't take a single wound and when he could charged on in. Perfectly doing small amounts on my turn and cleaning up on the opponents turn and then charging into the next squad. It was the most beautiful carnage I've ever seen.

My Archon took on Vulkan H'estan and Maneus Calgar with honour guard last weekend- (after soul trapping himself up to St 6 with an extra attack on the drugs chart). Vulkan went in the first turn. Following that the shadow field managed to prevent any harm coming to the archon, next turn he finished off the honour guard- didn't get hurt by Calgar and then continued to hack away at him before finally killing him and sucking his soul. A good day to not be a space marine.

He was the only thing I had left aside from a squad of 2 wracksthat were hiding in some ruins, he stayed stood near the relic taking a round of shooting from everything my friend had left rolled 7 saves in turn 5. I must have made 20 saves with during him this game.
As a result I won the game

The same Necron Overlord 4 times

Got lucky with a soul trap + husk blade combo first round. Rolling a 6 and insta-gibbing him. He got lucky getting back up again. And again... And again.

We had fun though!

A Trygon in the first round of combat (after his four-man Truebron squad was eliminated in the preceding Shooting phase) thanks to his Huskblade and rolling a 4 on Combat Drugs.
