Do I hear the Archon inside, who's already planning on stealing the miniatures 2, or maybe 3.. milennia from now?

Naah, not really
I think I'm gonna continue painting the Archon this evening, we'll see.

I managed to continue painting my Archon today.
After some tryouts, I found a symbol I found fitting for my Kabal- it's actually a combination of some DE runes I found on the internet.
I also decided to give him a lighter, brown cloak, instead of the originally planned crimson one.
Additionally, I finished some details here and there.

There you go:




To- do- list for the Archon:

- paint the fur on the cloak
- paint the hair that's attached to the helmet
- paint details like the hair attached to the knife, the knife's grip, the necklace, the gloves, sword etc.

Comments and criticism are highly encouraged

I managed to do some more work on my Archon today and even though my motivation for today is depleted, I'll only need to finish the hair at the helmet and the base and the model will be finished
I'll post pictures of the finished miniature tomorrow.

Nope, I actually figured I'll just leave him the way it is- including the banner. The red bit on the right side is just to not make it look too grey.. But I'll leave him the way he is now.

After quite some time, there's news ;-)
I'll have the next 5 days off, so I guess I'll finally manage to paint the remaining 2 Kabalite Warriors and maybe buy the second venom.
I cant wait to finally buy a aquad of Wyches and their ride to be able to play the first 500 pts games.

I actually did it, I just finished painting the last member of the second Warrior squad- that's 2 Warriors in 1 day- never painted them so quickly

Just as promised, here's the first PiP- pic of the new Venom I bought 2 days ago:

Your stuff is really coming together well. I really like the use of gold(?) at the rear of the back fins and at the ribbed parts bellow the canopy on the venoms. Two thumbs up!

The gold is actually Dwarf Bronze+ Devlan Mud wash (or will be, the wash isn't applied on the newest image).

Glad you like it, I'm actually making quite some progress painting the new Venom right now, so stay tuned for more updates

I told you I was making progress, so here's an update on the paintjob.
The second layer of green highlights is applied to most of the hull, the red "pattern" ist highlighted and the bronze is washed.

Next up is the completion of the highlighting on the hull and the highlights on the bronze parts.

Since my brother will soon start collecting an Eldar force, I'll be painting some more of my DE when painting with my brother.
So expect some more updates soon.

Well then, here are some pics of the second Venom's current status.
The Gunner will be standing a bit farther on the back of the Venom, one foot inside the rail.





I still have to clean up a lot of the highlights, I've been a bit sloppy doing them.
And even though I'm not making as much progress as I'd like to, I wanted to show you that the project is still "alive"

Alright, I managed to make some more progress.
I've still got the weapons and some details to finish- and the gunner of course- but other than that it's about finished:

Even though I didn't do anything about my Venom lately, I just felt like converting my "old", unused Dracon to Sliscus.
So I did my own interpretation of his 2 venomous blades by converting a Venom- crewmember- spear using a Venomblade vrom the Warrioirs- box.
I also added a cloak made from plsticard and covered with GS- scales. A few of them are formed in a serpent- like shape to fit his "title".

I still have to smoothen the cloak and its link to the armour before painting it.

If you have any ideas to further improve the model, feel free to share them

PS: He'll have a freehand painting of a serpent on one side of his banner and the Symbol of my Kabal on the other side.

Very nice! Looks as though he's taking advantage of his ability to disembark after his vehicle deep strikes

Although I forgot to take pictures of the current state of the Duke, I still managed to finish another Kabalite Warrior today- I know that I'm painting horribly slow, but I just can't seem to come up with the motivation needed to work faster, even though I really want to finally be able to field my army in battle.

Long story short, here's the warrior:

Even though I didn't quite finish my second Venom yet, I just had to buy Lelith Hesperax (aka my new Succubus) and a box of Wyches.

Lelith got an agonizer, the rest of her is just as usual.
I'll post pics as soon as I finished assembling the squad.

I also got a little bit of progress on my Sliscus to show off.
